May 20, 201213 yr This was so epic. It was ridiculously uncomfortable and I got elbowed and whacked and kneed but every time you looked up at the stage you realised just WHO was in front of you and none of it mattered. The setlist was basically flawless - Kanye's first solo section was just absolutely exhilirating. (I'm more familiar with him than with Jay so perhaps I would say that - though Jay seemed to only do half of a lot of his solo songs for some reason.) I wish they'd opened with 'No Church in the Wild' just because I adore it and my brain won't let go of the image of them rising out of the stage in a cloud of smoke to that intro. But as it was they just swaggered out to 'H.A.M.' and that vibe totally worked for the whole show. Just so effortless. Niggas in Paris x seven as a closer tonight (I hear they did nine somewhere last year though?), and, to my eternal joy and rapture, Rihanna joined them on stage for 'Run This Town' and then came back for 'All of the Lights'. Unquestionably one of the best gigs I've ever been to - probably beaten only by the Scissor Sisters who I saw on Thursday. (So, a hell of a week!)
May 21, 201213 yr UGH i know so many people who went and it sounds like the perfect concert. Next time I'm not even gonna BLINK at £70 for a ticket. Eating is for the weak.
May 31, 201213 yr FJt7gNi3Nr4 Great song, but could somebody please explain the correlation between it and the video? It all seems a bit too much like quantity over quality. I'm pleased it's boosting the song on iTunes though, and will hopefully give the album a forth top forty single (and a proper release for "Lift Off" SOON to make it five!)
June 2, 201213 yr I don't think Lift Off would be best as a single. Who Gon Stop Me would be better, and would do big things in the UK imo! Even Sway got a top 10 hit on a Flux Pavilion beat just recently. I think No Church in the Wild might be their last though from this album. :( Kanye's got another project he's doing now, and Jay-Z has a baby.
June 4, 201213 yr Going on Friday. TOO EXCITED. I love the No Church In The Wild video, but I don't want any more singles from this album, Kanye solo #6 soon please.
June 5, 201213 yr Going on Friday. TOO EXCITED. I love the No Church In The Wild video, but I don't want any more singles from this album, Kanye solo #6 soon please. He's got an album with his label coming out, so we might not get a solo album "soon". But new Kanye songs are on their way nonetheless! :D My sister is going to see them too. June 13, 201213 yr BAH! Just got back from Manchester and the show was incredible. It was so intense and epic, not a single dull point. I was surprised at the amount of solo stuff...definitely not a complaint though... I just went off when Kanye did Can't Tell Me Nothing.
July 15, 201212 yr sorry, i have to rant, 2 best rappers in the world, KAyne? great producer but saying he raps is a notch above pete diddy saying he does as well....anyways, some good tracks on here, jayz one of the best all time, no doubt!!
November 28, 201212 yr They make sense as a duo but I wasn't really feeling any of it. The beat for "xx in Paris" was pretty tight, though...
January 29, 201312 yr Why I love You has the best production I heard from West in 2012. Hov still can rap like his younger fellas can't even imagine. Well spend money.
