Posted July 23, 200618 yr Each year, pop music website Popjustice holds an event in which the best single of the preceding twelve months is selected as the winner. This event is in its fourth year having begun in 2003. Every year, a public vote is held in order to select the nominees. The twelve songs with the most votes by July 17th were selected to move into the final judging category. On July 18th, these pop singles were announced as the shortlist: 'Biology' - Girls Aloud 'DARE' - Gorillaz 'Destroy Everything You Touch' - Ladytron 'I Said Never Again (But Here We Are)' - Rachel Stevens 'Number One' - Goldfrapp 'Over & Over' - Hot Chip 'Push The Button' - Sugababes 'Smile' - Lily Allen 'Supermassive Black Hole' - Muse 'Up All Night' - Matt Willis 'Valentine' - The Delays 'Who Am I?' - Will Young One of the nominated pop acts will win twenty quid, cash, six weeks from now. Voting has ended, now the only thing left to do is wait. Rachel's I Said Never Again (But Here We Are) has made the shortlist this year.
