Posted January 9, 201114 yr No news, tracklisting etc., just the link for pre-order on HMV. Apparently out 28.02.2011 http://hmv.com/hmvweb/displayProductDetail...&sku=925406 It will only cost 6 quid, and it's on the label Spectrum (!). Edit: I guess Spectrum IS Island or something. Thoughts? Edited January 9, 201114 yr by Arrs
January 9, 201114 yr I can preorder it for £4. It's a budget compilation that will outsell Sweet 7 [Not that it's hard] and quite likely have 2.0 on the cover. The tracklisting for it will be interesting.
January 10, 201114 yr Eh, Record Company needs some money I guess. I have Overloaded so I prob. won't be needing this. Maybe it's just an extended PTB single thing.
January 10, 201114 yr I don't want them to release this really  There's no point, and it will flop hard. It better have new songs on it too ^_^
January 10, 201114 yr Sugababes are set to release a greatest hits album next month. The group, who have undergone three line-up changes in the last ten years, will release Push The Button: The Collection on February 28. The budget LP is listed on a number of music retailers' websites, priced at £3.99. The album marks the band's second retrospective record, following 2006's Overloaded: The Singles Collection, which peaked at number three and was certified Platinum in the UK and Ireland. Sugababes have released a total of seven studio albums and scored 18 Top Ten singles. Their last record Sweet 7 entered the UK album chart at number 14. The group recently insisted that there will be no future line-up changes, with their management saying: "If this doesn't work we'll have to call it quits," according to newest Sugababe Jade Ewen. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/news/a29...t-of-album.html
January 10, 201114 yr I hope this will actually be a greatest hits with some new tracks rather than just the label releasing this to get some money. I'll buy it for my collection, but it still seems VERY random.
January 10, 201114 yr I think this is the signle for the begining of the end.... is it known how many albums are left on their current record contract?
January 10, 201114 yr Author Guys, you're looking TOO deeply into it. This is released on the special label Spectrum, it's just a small minor key cash-in release. I don't think it signs anything. Every artist with big back-catalogue eventually has those compilations.
January 10, 201114 yr I hope it's just a crappy GH with old songs, I hate it when artists put like 2 or 3 new songs on an album to pimp it.
January 10, 201114 yr I think it's going to be one of those Greatest Hits that aren't really official ones, like when the label just release it for some money.
January 10, 201114 yr Guys it's not a real release. It's just a cheap ass compilation used to rejuvenate interest in an Artist and their extensive back catalogue. It is not part of their album deal with Island, it probably won't even be promoted. It's not a real GH, there would be a lead single etc for that. This will contain NO new music, singles and odd album tracks. From what i gather in the past the collections issued by this label have had random album tracks added to make a CD of a decent length and uses an old image [Which could be of 2.0] Nothing to get excited about, but like Simon i'll be getting it for the collection
January 11, 201114 yr Even though im not the biggest sugababes fan in their defence many artists have albums like these released regardless if their career is flying or sinking. Artists like Kylie, Madonna, Take That etc all have these sort of released among their catalogue.
January 11, 201114 yr I found this on another forum, it screams fake to me though. But I thought I'd post.. 01. Push The Button 02. Red Dress 03. Round Round 04. Girls 05. Too Lost In You 06. Shape 07. Change 08. Freak Like Me 09. Conversation's Over 10. About You Now 11. My Man (Hidden track)
January 11, 201114 yr It's defo fake, releases under this label in the past have been more towards 17tracks.
January 12, 201114 yr Jade has justed tweeted saying "A rumour has been floating around saying we're bringing out a greatest hits album.. Ignore it's not true!! Hope she's right! :D Edited January 12, 201114 yr by Kuki Sanban
January 12, 201114 yr She's right but just partially. It's easier just to say that rather than explain the whole story. Even though the only one who will percieve some money will be Heidi (I doubt very seriously it'll include About You Now) they all three are the Sugababes now and they should be aware of this kind of releases. It's something that affects their career. I think this will make more good for Keisha's solo career than for Sugababes 4.0 Edited January 12, 201114 yr by The47thbelmon
