January 16, 201114 yr Author Except DH is the 3rd top-rated scripted show on ABC and very certain to get renewed, and The Good Wife isn't even top 10 for top-rated scripted shows on CBS iirc? Right now though, I'd say that 'The Good Wife' will still get renewed, and it must be a good sign if EW.com things it's renewal is a sure thing. From what i understand 'The Good Wife' is a critically acclaimed show with reasonable ratings. It's syndicated internationally to quite a number of places and is a CBS production so i'd say it's a reasonable bet to stay. Plus it airs at 10pm at night, not the best hour for huge ratings.

In two weeks time when all the network are back to airing new episodes i'll add the prognosis for shows that haven't had their fate's sealed yet.
January 18, 201114 yr I wouldn't been surprised if Supernatural is heading for the axe, Season 6 was a bad move, after the 5 year arc.
January 18, 201114 yr I am suprised they renew the cleveland show. It's ratings and fanbase are nothing compared to The Simpsons, King of the kill, Futurama, Family guy and American dad, just to name past and present animated shows from FOX
January 19, 201114 yr Author I wouldn't been surprised if Supernatural is heading for the axe, Season 6 was a bad move, after the 5 year arc. Supernatural is certain for renewal. It has amazing ratings for CW
January 19, 201114 yr I don't think its been mentioned but any fans of Pretty Little Liars who haven't already checked the PLL thread or missed it, the show has been renewed for a Season 2 but that was a given.
January 19, 201114 yr The only way Supernatural will get axed is if the two leads don't sign new contracts...
January 19, 201114 yr Thank god they are finally putting an end to Smallville...way overdue Supernatural is certain for renewal. It has amazing ratings for CW Wow that's a surprise. Hopefully s7 will be a BIG improvement from the dire awfulness of s6 -_-
January 19, 201114 yr I don't see why The CW would let Supernatural go. It's doing amazingly for them on a Friday night [better than all the trash they put on in the week bar Vampire Diaries I think]. And with Smallville ending [not cancelled, they're wrapping it up] they'd be silly to leave two huge holes on one night. I personally cba with it anymore. :( I'm not too fussed really about shows this year It's been a pretty naff year especially for new shows. Edited January 19, 201114 yr by GrAmii
January 19, 201114 yr Author Thank god they are finally putting an end to Smallville...way overdue Wow that's a surprise. Hopefully s7 will be a BIG improvement from the dire awfulness of s6 -_- Yeah, Smallville and The Vampire Diaries are the only shows that rate higher. :o
January 19, 201114 yr Fringe needs a Lost style end date given to them. Every episode of series 3 has been incredible and there's obviously a clear destination for this story. It'd be criminal though if it got canceled just as it's hit its stride. It deserves a satisfactory ending.
January 19, 201114 yr CBS The Good Wife 2.2 - 11.619 I CANNOT BARE IT. 2.2 definitely doesn't cut it for CBS, regardless of the time slot and critics adoration. Such a shame. It's easily the most intelligent show on network television and I'll probably fall into a heep of dust when they cancel it.

Yeah, Smallville and The Vampire Diaries are the only shows that rate higher. :o Jense Ackles and Jarded Padalecki only signed 6 year contracts though. They run out this season. So it all depends what they decide to do and how much money The CW are willing to give to the actors as they've both been leads in movies now...
January 21, 201114 yr Fox will get rid of fringe. Ratings like that are poor. Especially for a expensive show like fringe. It's never become the huge phenom they wanted it to be anyway.
January 21, 201114 yr Author Bones just raped CSI, so we're getting a 7th season :funky: [3.5 vs 3.1] Although CSI did score 3m more viewers. Its the highest number Bones has pulled all season, I'm actually kinda hoping we stay at 9pm for next season, especially if we continue to beat CSI
February 25, 201114 yr Two and a Half Men cancelled... Warner Bros has discontinued production of the Two and a Half Men sitcom, citing the behaviour and remarks of series star Charlie Sheen. "Based on the totality of Charlie Sheen's statements, conduct and condition, CBS and Warner Bros. Television have decided to discontinue production of Two and a Half Men for the remainder of the season," the statement said. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the move comes after Sheen ranted about the show's creator Chuck Lorre in a radio podcast. Speaking to the Alex Jones Show, Sheen said of Lorre: "I embarrassed him in front of his children and the world by healing at a pace that this un-evolved mind cannot process. I've spent, I think, close to the last decade I don't know effortlessly and magically converted your tin can into pure gold. And the gratitude I get is this charlatan chose not to do his job, which is to write." Sheen was upset that the show was put temporarily on hold after he was admitted to hospital in January. Sheen entered hospital complaining of severe abdominal pains brought about by a drug and alcohol fuelled bender and he checked into rehab soon after for a short stay. Speaking recently to celebrity gossip site TMZ.com, Sheen expressed his dissatisfaction that the show's production had not begun again. "That piece of $h!t [Lorre]took money out of my pocket, my family's pocket, and, most importantly, my second family - my crew's pocket. "You can tell him [Lorre] one thing. I own him." Sheen has responded to today's news of the cancellation via an open letter that he supplied to TMZ. In it Sheen says: "What does this say about Haim Levine [Chuck Lorre] after he tried to use his words to judge and attempt to degrade me. I gracefully ignored this folly for 177 shows ... I fire back once and this contaminated little maggot can't handle my power and can't handle the truth. I wish him nothing but pain in his silly travels especially if they wind up in my octagon. Clearly I have defeated this earthworm with my words - imagine what I would have done with my fire breathing fists. I urge all my beautiful and loyal fans who embraced this show for almost a decade to walk with me side-by-side as we march up the steps of justice to right this unconscionable wrong. Remember these are my people ... not yours ... we will continue on together ... " It seems there is no love lost between the pair, with Lorre calling Sheen a "degenerate" in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter last year. Sheen was recently released from rehab with strict instructions to take it easy. In Sheen's world that means flying to the Bahamas with his girlfriend, ex wife and a porn star - and minus the kids. The star has been photographed holidaying on board a yacht with the three women, Natalie Kenly, Brooke Mueller and porn star Bree Olsen. Two and Half Men is one of the most popular sitcoms on television in the US and Australia and Sheen is one of the highest paid TV actors. It was inevitable given the recent events...
February 25, 201114 yr Not officially cancelled, just for the rest of the season which is probably a good idea. No doubt CBS will want it back on the air, and will looking at patching up the differences, or just looking to replace Sheen full stop with another character. There's no way CBS would let a top show just go like that without changing around a few things.
February 25, 201114 yr No mention of Dexter anywhere? Happy that Parenthood is safer than Brothers & Sisters. The latter has been scraping the barrel for a few seasons now, but Parenthood is just so raw and real. Edited February 25, 201114 yr by Andrew*
February 25, 201114 yr So happy for Cougar Town  Although i can't help but think that it won't last more than 3 or 4 seasons :( Any word on Desperate Housewives? From what i read, only Teri Hatcher has signed a contract.
