February 25, 201114 yr DH hasn't been renewed yet, but as tvbythenumbers recently said, the world will end before DH doesn't get at least an 8th season. 'Better With You' is probably in the danger zone now :( Only show I watch that is in danger. Edited February 25, 201114 yr by Jack Sykes
February 25, 201114 yr An announcement really should be made soon on Housewives. Most shows wrap up filming in april ready for the final episodes to be shown in May Urgh, i dread the day when Housewives ever ends. It's weird how your drawn into a show and i have ever so much with this show for the past 7 years.
February 26, 201114 yr Author No mention of Dexter anywhere? Happy that Parenthood is safer than Brothers & Sisters. The latter has been scraping the barrel for a few seasons now, but Parenthood is just so raw and real. I haven't seen anything about the cable shows. The only things i have seen are for the big 5 broadcast networks. HBO and Showtime have different standards for renewals. Weeds will be back though :cheer:
February 26, 201114 yr Weeds will be back though :cheer: And from what I've heard, for the last time...
February 26, 201114 yr And from what I've heard, for the last time... Definitely the final season. The cast haven't signed on for anymore and have no plans to. The Good Wife got a 1.5 this week despite 11 million viewers. 90% sure it will get cancelled, unless they decide to move it to a Friday/Sunday. BOO HISS.
February 26, 201114 yr Why cancel a show that gets 11 million viewers? Most shows these days are lucky to get over 10 million viewers. Especially if your not a high publicised show like Glee.

It's all about the Adult 18-49 demo, they're whats important to the advertisers who buy ad time during the shows. A 1.5 probably doesn't cut it for CBS, even for a 10pm show.

Networks don't really care about total viewers, it's all about the 18-49 rating. Advertising rates are based on it. 1.5 is terrible and they aren't making any money from it. It seems only old people are interested in The Good Wife. Haha. It actually competes against Parenthood on NBC which despite only getting 5 million viewers got a higher share this week. CBS have cancelled shows in the past that had better ratings than this sadly. The only reason they'd MAYBE decide to renew it is all the award nominations/wins/buzz - but they'd still probably move it to a new time-slot. I SHALL LIVE IN HOPE.

February 26, 201114 yr Author And from what I've heard, for the last time... Yeah, Jenji Kohan has said she wants this to be the last season. I'm quite happy with that, it's had a bloody good run.

February 26, 201114 yr People stressing over Desperate Housewives, well it is still one of the networks top rated show despite its steady audience decline. They can't really afford to loose it. It pulls in far bigger audiences that the networks other mediocre hits such as Cougar Town and the Middle. Also last season the show wasn't renewed until April so theres more time and with the contract renewal it will probably be even later this year.
February 26, 201114 yr Desperate Housewives isn't going anywhere, other than that and Grey's Anatomy (both on their last legs) ABC doesn't really have a hit drama. Actually, the only hit they have is Modern Family. Oh dear.
February 26, 201114 yr Author ABC and NBC are having a tragic year. Their either going to renew a large amount of under performing trash or bin the lot. But i don't think they have enough in development for that  So if your hoping for a renewal on ABC/NBC and the show isn't doing diabolically its safe.
February 26, 201114 yr NBC have a lot of good pilots though... whether they'll work or not, who knows. ABC though, they need another big hit. I can't see where it is going to come from however...
February 26, 201114 yr Two and a Half Men has been cancelled by CBS. Sad times. http://www.guardian.co.uk/culture/2011/feb...sheen-cancelled
February 27, 201114 yr Author The show itself is renewed for next year, but the 4 remaining episodes for this season have been cut [Already cut by 4] so this season is a short season. Meaning there is 8 episodes from this season that have gone unwritten/produced/filmed. As everything stands thus far, it will be back in the fall unless a deal can't be struck for Sheen's return [or he's still binging/dead/hospitalised] or they can't find a suitable alternate for the show. It's a mammoth hit for CBS so they'll do all they can to keep the show on the air.

I just can't see Sheen pulling his $h!t together to be honest, even if CBS are warning him they are prepared to axe the show, and I don't think the show would work without him. I can't imagine how pissed the other actors must be. Edited February 27, 201114 yr by Daniel II
February 27, 201114 yr Author I just can't see Sheen pulling his $h!t together to be honest, even if CBS are warning him they are prepared to axe the show, and I don't think the show would work without him. I can't imagine how pissed the other actors must be. I feel bad for the Crew. One mans selfish actions have put them out of work and left them out of pocket.
February 27, 201114 yr I am sure the crew and stuff will still be payed though? They are still contracted, but I have no idea what sorts of contracts they are on. I mean Sheen was reportedly on $1m per episode, and I'd guess the other two leads won't be on shabby contracts either...
