February 27, 201114 yr Read somewhere that Brothers and Sisters has been axed. A shame as I used to LOVE that show, but it went downhill after Series 3.
February 27, 201114 yr SO glad that The Vampire Diaries is back, my best show by FAR atm! Hope DH sticks around, and if its true that Brothers and Sisters has been axed thats a shame, really love that show! :( Edited February 27, 201114 yr by Lukuzz
February 27, 201114 yr Read somewhere that Brothers and Sisters has been axed. A shame as I used to LOVE that show, but it went downhill after Series 3. Two for me... :( Really enjoyed the first season and then started the second season and it was just... not as good.
February 27, 201114 yr Author Brothers and Sisters hasn't been cancelled at all. Not officially. THIS. It's highly likely to get the axe, but there has been no official announcement about it's future.
February 27, 201114 yr THIS. It's highly likely to get the axe, but there has been no official announcement about it's future. ABC have nothing else for their Sunday line up and Brothers and Sisters and Desperate Housewives are a combo that works.
February 27, 201114 yr Author Not really. DH gets good ratings [nearly 130% of the networks scripted average according to TVbythenumbers] but Brothers and Sisters can't even get 80%. Traditionally the further away from 100% you are the more likely you are to be cancelled. 0.78 is very likely to be cancelled.
February 27, 201114 yr ABC have nothing else for their Sunday line up and Brothers and Sisters and Desperate Housewives are a combo that works. Whether B&S gets axed could come down to how well 'Body Of Proof' does, which launches after 'Dancing With The Stars' at the end of March on a Tuesday. The second episode will follow DH (DH has a 23 episode order, B&S only has 22), and features Dana Delany who played Katherine in DH, so if that does better than B&S is currently doing, that would work as a replacement.
February 27, 201114 yr I feel bad for the Crew. One mans selfish actions have put them out of work and left them out of pocket. Me too, but I'm not sure they are too sad to see the back of Sheen, it hints in the guardian article that he was abusive towards the crew, and CBS were/are still scared of lawsuits against them. I am sure the crew and stuff will still be payed though? They are still contracted, but I have no idea what sorts of contracts they are on. I mean Sheen was reportedly on $1m per episode, and I'd guess the other two leads won't be on shabby contracts either... They let them go so they aren't getting paid anymore. CBS had to pay the crew and also had to pay to keep the set in place while Sheen was pulling himself together in rehab, and the cost of keeping on doing this while Sheen showed no signs of calming his $h!t down was a big reason why they cancelled the rest of the season. Even if the show does come back next season, it will most likely be without him. Edited February 27, 201114 yr by Daniel II
February 27, 201114 yr I still watch B&S, its not as good as it was before but its still better than pretty much nearly all the new crap around, which is why I still bother with it.
February 27, 201114 yr Oh there is absolutely ZERO chance of Sheen coming back, I don't think he would want to, and whilst CBS evidently do want him to, I am not so sure the producers would allow it. I don't know how the show would work without him though, that's the only major problem...I can't see CBS not trying though, it does too well in ratings and demos for them to just leave the concept alone completely.
February 28, 201114 yr Author No Ordinary Family has had it's episode order cut by 2 to 20. That's that cancelled then.
February 28, 201114 yr Shame about No ordinary family It's nothing groundbreaking but i really like it. Along with Nikita, it's one of the very few shows i have actually liked or seemed interesting. This television has generally sucked for new show as a whole imo.
March 1, 201114 yr Showtime have renewed both Shameless and Episodes for a second season Pleased for Shameless US- Only watched the first four episodes thus far and need to catch up, but I'm enjoying it immensely. Still not sure of William Macy as Frank though.
March 1, 201114 yr The production team for One Tree Hill are pushing for a 9th Season and online campaigns are about to begin. The CW have said that they will happily give a 9th Season and one thing that the show has always had behind them was a supportive fanbase so I wouldn't be surprised if it got renewed although I'm currently on the fence over whether it will happen or not...
March 1, 201114 yr Author They really don't need to bother Joao. The show gets better ratings than half of the CW's schedule and one of the three shows above it is ending anyway. The CW is getting diabolical numbers right now. 90210 and Gossip Girl could only manage a 0.7 this week and Hellcats a 0.6. Any other network would have pulled them from air. They should have kept Charmed and the Gilmore Girls on, both got far higher ratings than the current crop of shows do.
March 1, 201114 yr As much as I ADORE Gossip Girl and definetly deserves more recognition, it's a mystery to me how it's stayed on the air recently :( It's ratings are diabolical.
March 1, 201114 yr Author As much as I ADORE Gossip Girl and definetly deserves more recognition, it's a mystery to me how it's stayed on the air recently :( It's ratings are diabolical. Because it's doing no worse than the rest of the shows on The CW. The entire network is doing terrible ratings wise.
