That would be interesting to say the least, definitely put a new spin on the album.

 

She's been recording tracks for this album since last September, only albums she has spent a longer amount of time on is "In The Zone" and 'Blackout'. GOOD FOR BUISNESS. YES.

I read today in the paper that she's working with producer Alex Da Kid (responsible for "Love The Way You Lie" and "Airplanes"). :D
This is good news, all the news has been making me want to hear something from this album.

I'm hoping, and it makes the most sense, for the new album to come out this fall. Of course that's what usually happens with a Britney release and that's when most of the sales are achieved. With the announcement of a new fragrance too I can definitely see it happening. I'm also not surprised with the statements here and there from people who say she's supposedly finishing up touches on the album already.
From that report it seems to me the first single from the album should be available quite soon then, but I'm probably wrong.
Well, her last studio album, Circus, was out 2008/2009 and her 7th studio album under my prediction will be around 2010/2011 so it's a two year gap, which probably means that she has worked harder with this album then any other, hopefully her hard work pays of and her lead single with the album will be a massive hit (i'm talking BOMT, OIDIA, Toxic, Womanizer level).
