That just became my new favourite site :kink:

As soon as it hits midnight and my bandwidth allowance doesn't count until 8am I think I'll have a downloading binge too :lol:

You get from 12am to 8am free then?

That's solved a few issues then :lol:

Yes I do, which is great and all but I usually go to bed at this time :lol: I'm rarely up past midnight and wake up about 8am usually!

Watching all of these ESC NF's streaming live is probably eating right into this months allowance but I care not, it's about time I was as selfish as the rest of them :D

Too true!

I keep odd hours, but after watching the Superbowl last night i'm wiped.

And then I'll plead innocence when they all wonder why it's gone off after two weeks again :heehee: I've given up now - it's inevitable that we'll spend the last two weeks of every month without a decent connection so I might as well stop trying to save it and just join the buggers, they clearly don't care about anyone else!

Yes, I've noticed you on here at all times :lol:

Current poll results on some German site, could be a rough indicator?

* "A Million And One"6%

* "Mama Told Me"24%

* "Maybe"13%

* "Push Forward"14%

* "Taken By A Stranger"34%

* "What Happened To Me"8%

I don't know how accurate these things tend to be, but I am worried by the high percentage for 'Mama Told Me', probably my least favourite of the six. 'Taken By A Stranger' would be ok, but I'd rather 'Push Forward' had a late surge in support.

I do hope they don't get caught up in the fact that Lena and Stefan wrote Mama Told Me and sent that - I agree that it's the weakest of the six and I'm absolutely certain that it would reverse Lena's position from first to last, which would be the ultimate embarrassment. Shame A Million and One isn't picking up much support...it's far from the worst of these six!

My Lena album arrived in the post today :D There is a lyrics booklet! My album ratings after a few listens;

1. Good News - 8.5/10

2. What Happened To Me Today - 8/10

3. A Million And One - 9.5/10

4. Maybe - 9/10 - grown on me significantly with the studio version, reminds me of something or other from the 90's, but I can't remember what

5. I Like You - 7/10

6. Mama Told Me - 8.5/10 - This has actually grown on me a lot, it's catchy, but why do all of Stefan Raab's songs sound like forgotten funk band relics? It was the same with the ESC entries he masterminded

7. Push Forward - 9.5/10 - I agree with Peter that the key change is slightly unnecessary, otherwise I absolutely adore this - I love the production - very contemporary!

8. A Good Day - 7.5/10

9. Taken By A Stranger - 9.5/10

10. Teenage Girl - 6/10 - Defines filler

11. That Again - 8/10

12. At All - 8.5 - I agree with the poster that compared this to Atomic Kitten's You Are, this might be one of the big growers on the album

Overall: A strong second album which despite having a load of different songwriters, does still feel quite cohesive - a lot of songs have a similar sound and production. I think most of the songs that have gone to the final have been the right choices.

I've just remembered, if one of the songs Stefan wrote gets the ticket to Eurovision, rules will forbid him from hosting :D
In that case you NEED to bookmark this site;

http://eurovisionalbums.blogspot.com/

it's in there in the 2005 section (as it's a 2005 release).

Oh look Jedward's album is there too. OMG *SQUEE*

I'd rather see him host than see Mama Told Me, That Again or What Happened To Me go to Dusseldorf!

I really like 'That Again' now, if thats the price we have to pay to avoid him hosting I'm willing for it to get the ticket.

As for the other two, not really

That Again is actually already out isn't it :lol: So not very likely that it will be winning!

Mama Told Me poses the biggest threat of a Raab song winning, and I'm sure he'll do everything in his power to ensure that it happens! Although having said that, surely he'll want to host the contest? All that exposure to his ego in front of 125 million people!

Just listened to the album and I'm severly disappointed.

Where's the quirkiness? Every track is just so fillery, it sounds like a collection of James Blunt's acoustic hits.

There was only one track I liked, that track is dark and moody and mysterious and just perfect.

"Taken By a Stranger" aus Düsseldorf, bitte!

The rest of the tracks are just so painfully boring I don't see them standing out at all at Eurovision.

Seriously disappointed.

Odds I've just stumbled across;

Taken By A Stranger 3/10

Push Forward 5/1

Maybe 12/1

Mama Told Me 12/1

A Million And One 12/1

What Happened To Me 16/1

Seems pretty comprehensive to me!

Actually it won't. Zeljko Joksimovic hosted Belgrade 2008 even though he was invovled in 'Oro', the Serbian entry for that year.

It doesn't matter anyway, Taken By A Stranger will win! :dance:

I've read that the rule didn't exist when this happened, and that it was because of this that the EBU came up with the rule that the composer/writer of an entry can't host.

I see you're right! Apologies :P
