April 3, 201114 yr Whether a 15 or 18, teenagers will sneck their way into it. I think it'll be an 18.
April 10, 201114 yr Did you really have to bump this up by making a comment like that, which has nothing to do with the new film? Anyway, There are more clips on the internet, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pe_cGeTLHA8...player_embedded That scream at around 23 seconds sounds exactly like Lara Croft  Edit: It is apparantly only a cert 15 :cheer: Edited April 10, 201114 yr by Regina
April 10, 201114 yr Thanks Regina, my local cinema has it under the "coming soon" section and they updated it to a 15 :D Tv ads still saying "TBA" though!
April 11, 201114 yr Just re-watched the 3 films and I'm officially HYPED for the new one! Definitely going to see it in release week. I've just got to.
April 14, 201114 yr I suppose it'd be too mush to ask for no spoilers (i.e who dies, who the killer is)? I am not seeing this until later in the month and don't want it spoiled.
April 14, 201114 yr Author I'm with you Regina, not seeing it until next weekend. It's going to be SO hard to avoid spoilers, reviews or anything but I'm gonna try my best.
April 15, 201114 yr 61% Average Rating: 5.9/10 Reviews Counted: 86 Fresh: 53 | Rotten: 33 Barely fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, although I was expecting something in the 20-30 region.
April 15, 201114 yr The film has received mixed reviews from the critics. Review aggregate Rotten Tomatoes reports that 60% of critics have given the film a positive review based on 92 reviews, with an average score of 5.9/10.[47] Metacritic assigned the film an average score of 52/100 based on 23 reviews from mainstream critics, indicating "mixed or average reviews".[48] Roger Ebert gave the movie 2 out of 4 stars criticizing the movie for using cliche formula of slasher genre. [49] Empire's magazine gave the film 2 out of 5 stars criticizing the film's old fashioned formula and lack of scare factor. [50] The New York Daily News thought the film was "dated" and that "relying on obvious clichés doesn't seem ironic anymore, just easy.[51] Lisa Kennedy from the Denver Post wrote that Scream 4 "pays plenty of homage to their 1996 original", but that it isn't close to its greatness.[52] The Toronto Sun gave it a mixed review, writing that "this installment is nowhere near the hip, serrated-edge blast of newness the original was in 1996. Suddenly, it's the horror thriller that, like, your parents are excited about" but praised director Wes Craven.[53] Boston Herald wrote that the movie is "often amusing" but too long.[54] Roger Moore of the Orlando Sentinel appreciated the dialogue, and thought that the franchise was "sort of" brought back to life.[55] Betsy Sharkey of the Los Angeles Times gave it a positive review, noting that: "finds a way to live up to its gory past while it carves out new terrors in new ways
April 15, 201114 yr I couldn't care less what critics think, I don't listen to them anyway. It's just a bunch of people giving their opinions... I'd rather make my own.
April 15, 201114 yr Indeed, almost every film that the critics pan or don't seem to like, I tend to love
April 15, 201114 yr Just saw Scream 4. It was quite good indeed. A throwback to the 90s and certainly better than 3rd part. Maybe even the best of the three sequels, I did really enjoy Scream 2 but same with this one. Since saying anything about the plot etc could possibly be spoiling the film from others I better leave it to this. Actually the main reason why I went to see it today was because I wanted to avoid seeing/reading/hearing spoilers (and, tbh, this way I was for once able to avoid going drinking on Friday nite and can be drinking tomorrow without hangover :D ). I know loads of people will be complaining that this is just same old but what do they expect, a costume-drama for Oscars? I wanted a fun thrill-ride and that's exactly what I got.
April 15, 201114 yr A friend of mine told me what happens to Gale. I don't know anything else though.
April 15, 201114 yr A friend of mine told me what happens to Gale. I don't know anything else though. Hopefully she dies. I'd pay more for your reaction than the cinema ticket.
