I don't think you'd ever use commas in binary notation, it'd just be 1000000 I'm not sure why commas are used in decimal notation either though. January 18, 201114 yr Back when I was at school, we actually had to know how to count & do sums, rather than just press calculator buttons. :) :lol: It was worrying though, because I also did Physics, Biology and Chemistry, so I actually used a calculator more than I used a phone in those years. To read it better we just put spaces, like: 1 000 000. And we use commas instead of points in decimals. E.g. "It is 1,5 times larger than that" instead of your "It is 1.5 times larger than that". Sometimes it disturbs a bit when you use Excel, for example, and paste some figures from this site or somewhere else, and Excel doesn't see "1.3838" as a number. You need to retype it as 1,3838. Same with "1,384,339", you need to retype it to 1384339 or 1 384 339. Maybe same with your Excel too, but I don't know about that surely.

I would think there'd be a feature on Excel (and other spreadsheet software) to change what the commas in the numbers mean. I mean, that must be a pretty big problem to be fair, and I doubt it would be too difficult for them to put into the program. I would think over the years they would've got a lot of complaints about that, as it'd waste so much time if big companies were having to employ people to change all the decimal points to commas. :lol: Especially considering some of the seemingly completely useless features the program has in it. :lol: EDIT: Maybe you could use the "Find and Replace" function, where you tell it to find ",", and replace it with ".".
