FABULOUS SIMPLY QUITE

 

Essentially the theme of all the series is to follow ghetto trash women who marry into money and then gossip, brawl, make money through other people's talent and fight. It is quite simply the best thing of life.

 

My favourite thus far is the Atlanta one with NeNe showing herself to be a bonafide, REAL "queen of life" with such quotes as "this wine some bull$h!t" and commenting to a random waitress "I love yo' earrings, work it gurrrl".

The only one I've properly watched was New Jersey, which was decent (in the RELATIVE SENSE of course) because the women were actually related and were clearly real-life friends, rather than just being thrown into situations together by producers. It also produced the INCREDIBLE, ICONIC table flip drama:

 

 

It gets really good at 0:40. PRAAASTITUTION WHOOOORE!

 

Series two went to poop though when they insisted on having the women keep 'bumping into' Danielle (who they all hated and who was almost certainly mentally ill, but she was the one who BROUGHT THE DRAMZ).

 

I've seen bits of the New York one but it's a bit TOO plastic for my liking. Countess LuAnn though (or whatever she's called) was quite entertaining in an ubercunt sort of way.

The New York housewives essentially all have gay husbands and are very neurotic. I find it very BIZARRE.

Danielle is an utter fruit cake.

 

I've never been one of those people to dislike accents as such. Everyone seems to be all "blah blah I hate the scouse accent, whiney blah", if not scouse then glasweigen or whatever but that was never me. The Jersey accent however. GOOD LORD.

I've become a little bit obsessed with these shows. I've watched all the NJ, NYC, BH, D.C and Miami episodes and some O.C and Atlanta ones too. I think the Atlanta one is pretty awful and I hate Nene's voice SORRY EVERYONE

 

None of the housewives hold a candle to Bethenny Frankel from NYC who was the reason to watch that franchise in the first 2 seasons. She's become a bit of an egotistacle media whore since and her spin off show is GASH but I'll let that slide.

 

Also if anyone watched the Miami series, does someone mind explaining WTF happened to Marysol's mums face, it looks like she was hit with a mack truck not just bad plastic surgery

Also the latest NYC series ended pretty shockingly...as in how much they all hate one and other. Part 1 of the reunion was quite uncomfortable to watch. Shocked how Jill Zarrin has gone from likeable to hideous in the space of two series!

I'm only familiar with two of these shows and they are both pretty different, Orange county on itv 2 which is definetly the more laid back show and I catch the odd new jersey episode on channel four which seems to be a bunch of bitches fighting every episode but hey, that suits me.

I'm loving the current New Jersey season by the way, of course. Even without the drama of Danielle its still been pretty action packed. Kathy is a bore though, and Melissa is obviously a gold-digging phony but I can't help enjoy watching her on TV... she's a great rival to Teresa. HATING Caroline, god she is full of herself. I hate the way she talks down to everyone, even her friends and basically tells them to shut the f*** up if she doesnt wanna talk about something and bosses people around like she's their messiah. And also the way she's like ''yeah my family is close, got a problem with that? tough shit!'' ''i cooked all day and wore no make up, got a problem with that? i dont care''.. I dont think anyone has a problem with that, why does she assume the worst in people?! I wish she'd drop the whole godfather act its beyond tiresome.

 

I'm majorly excited for the Beverly Hills season, that trailer is crazy. Although is there really any need for EIGHT housewives? they could have at least gotten rid of a couple if they were gonna add new ones, HELLO KIM AND TAYLOR.

Tbh Caroline and Kathy are my second and third favourites. I know the whole "Godmother" shtick Caroline has got going can be a bit tiresome but she's evidently a good mother, doesn't suffer fools gladly and offers a softer edge to the programme with all the squabbling elsewhere. Likewise with Kathy, they seem to have a really nice family and husband supporting her and her ambitions. I know it's ALL VERY BORING but I just like watching them. But none are as nice as Jaqueline (who in all fairness is TOO NICE e.g. her hot mess daughter)

 

I still cannot quite get my head around this whole family feud thing. I'm assuming it's some Italian cultural thing? Very petty, very nonsensical and daft. Well Joe Gorga is just daft, misogynistic and foolish anyway. I can understand other "beefs" on other Housewives franchises but this errr...a real family? You're all doing this on TV? You are related? :huh:

 

Beverly Hills series 2 is shaping up to be excellent if that trailer is anything to go by. I believe that awful Brandi woman and the other new one are being penned as "friends of the housewives" so won't get a rolling credit, individual focus. Sort of like the Kim G/B situation on RHONJ.

Apparently the reason Teresa hates Melissa so much is because she and Joe have an ''open marriage'' and they are both massive slags, and she once gave him HERPES or so I read in an interview by one of their family members. (this family really will sell anyone out wont they?). Jacqueline is quite redundant this season.. she should for once be grateful she has such a spoiled brat of a child or she'd be without any story line at all. She would definitely be my first choice mother out of the lot though, I just wanna hug her sometimes.

 

My favourite cast members are Teresa's children, infact I am tempted to do a housewives RATE but I think we would be the only two to contribute to it.. but needless to say it would still shit all over the current Buzzrate in the lounge.

I don't know. I judge these people AS PEOPLE. Besides the New Jersey series is a bit weird compared to all the others. In terms of personalities, genuineness and well reality. Jaqueline may not do very much but she really does give a nicer, lighter edge to the programme. I suspect she's probably the most popular housewife. Be nice if she did have more storyline time!
