Posted January 19, 201114 yr You can take a trip to one place that is significant to rock and roll. Where do you want to visit? I'm thinking Abbey Road Studio is where I want to go. Or Liverpool.
January 19, 201114 yr Woodstock '69 - Jimi Hendrix, The Who, Jefferson Airplane, Grateful Dead, etc, etc, etc.....
January 19, 201114 yr Liverpool? Really? You'd have to be an absolute Beatles loon cos the city has bugger all else to offer. Hacienda circa '89 or Woodstock '94 :D
January 19, 201114 yr are we talking about within any time? if so that's a hard one, Lollapalooza 91, mainly for legendary NIN show (jealous of certain psoter in this topic who was there!) or when Johnny Cash played Folsom Prison or Reading 92 (Nirvana) or Rage Against the Machine outside the 2000 Democrat National Convention or Atari Teenage Riot May Day riots in Berlin in 1999.

January 19, 201114 yr Several spring to mind... 100 Club Punk all dayer with Pistols, Damned, Clash, Banshees etc My dad was at that event. He tends to bring it up when he wants to make me jealous, or appear cooler than he is. Edited January 19, 201114 yr by Brett-Butler
January 19, 201114 yr My dad was at that event. He tends to bring it up when he wants to make me jealous, or appear cooler than he is. Really? Or is he just one of the thousands who like to claim they were there?
January 19, 201114 yr STONE HENGE! Just kidding ;) I'd have loved to seen the original Guns N' Roses when they were still playing tiny, intimate venues. I've seen a GNR tribute act in a tiny bar and let me tell you, that is where hard-rock music like that kicks the most ass. There's something perfect about it in that sort of setting.
January 25, 201114 yr I agree with "Severin" about Live Aid. Probably the biggest musical event of all time, and to actually be there would have been a memory of a lifetime! (The Wembley show of course!)
January 26, 201114 yr Probably back in 91 or 92 when Nirvana played this little old pub on Broadway, Sydney, Aus. my mum was there but I was only 4

(The Wembley show of course!) A friend of mine went. He doesn't like most of the acts that played and still says it was brilliant
January 28, 201114 yr It must have just been the gig of a lifetime, even if you didn't like all the music, just the atmosphere!
