Love these on the 2002 playlist;

A-List

Daniel Bedingfield - Gotta Get Thru This

Goldtrix pres Andrea Brown - It's Love (Trippin')

Ja Rule featuring Ashanti - Always On Time

Christina Milian - AM To PM

Pink - Get The Party Started

Aaliyah - More Than A Woman Ridiculously ahead of its time

DB Boulevard - Point Of View

No Doubt featuring Bounty Killer - Hey Baby

Kylie Minogue - In Your Eyes One of four great singles from Fever, although I wouldn't have minded Love Affair being put out at some point

Dilated Peoples - Worst Comes To Worst This was actually decent for what it was, it had a great bassline/sample

B-List

Puretone - Addicted To Bass

Britney Spears - Overprotected

A1 - Caught In The Middle Probably a career high, it's fair to say

Ian Van Dahl - Will I?

Beverley Knight - Should Woulda Coulda

Minimalistix - Close Cover Brilliant, one of my favourites of 2002 :wub:

C-List

* Enrique Iglesias - Hero (Metro mix)

* Lasgo - Something

* S Club 7 - You

* Smoke 2 Seven - Been There Done That The original Girls Can't Catch!

A lot of terrible nu-metal/post-grunge type rock that I hated in my high school days on that playlist...

I can't believe Smoke 2 Seven were actually playlisted!!! I played this and their following single and album for absolutely ages, yet nobody else I spoke to had ever heard of them. The early 2000s were such good times for me musically.

City High - Caramel... loved that song. Even better than What Would You Do?

And what is 'Smooth Criminal' still doing there in 2002? :o Are you sure it's not 'Movies'?

Re:Smoke 2 Seven... I didn't like 'Been There Done That' but I liked 'Envy'... I'm guessing R1 ignored that though as it missed the chart completely? :lol:

To think there was a time when R1 played Kylie, Enrique Iglesias and the brilliant Beverly Knight.How much better RnB music was then-R-Kelly, Mis-teeq, Alliyah, Ashanti, Brandy and Mary J.

R1 still play Kylie, they just recently snubbed Better Than Today, but that was more of an exception. Enrique they've been snubbing for a long time though
'Movies' :heart: So much better than their (surprisingly decent) 'Smooth Criminal' cover! Also 'Overprotected' is easily one of Britney's best (and most underrated!) singles :wub:

I enjoy it a lot more today than what I did before. Back then I was pissed Cinderella or Lonely werent released instead, especially after the amazing Before The Goodbye wasn't the lead single as planned.
