is someone like you lined up to be the 2nd single?

No, the 2nd highest album track is the 2nd single (I've forgotten what it's called), but artists often change their mind if a particular song gets cherry-picked a lot. A good example is Love the Way You Lie. Went top 10 on iTunes all over the world, and was already playlisted by a lot of radio stations before it was confirmed as the 2nd single. In this case, we don't know if it would've been the 2nd single anyway, but some people suggested it was going to be Won't Back Down.

They were in a real pickle with that album though, because Love the Way You Lie and No Love BOTH went top 10 on US iTunes. And No Love actually charted higher on the album release week than it did when officially released as a single a few months later, so that might not bode well for Adele... :(

Set Fire To The Rain.

Hopefully SFTTR will go top 100 as well this week, although it's now down to #109 on iTunes so it seems unlikely :(

I don't think she'll change her release plans, Someone Like You is already relatively well known thanks to her Jools Holland performance a few months ago and people were obviously holding out to buy it. I still think it will almost certainly be the third single though. Set Fire To The Rain will still be a smash, it's just that few people are probably aware that it's slated as the second single at the moment.
