We have a seperate chart for downloads (which is more or less identical to the official chart now) I'd quite like to see a Physical release only chart rather than the download only chart now, what do you all think about this idea??

I would love to see the physical chart, it's be interesting to see which artists do well with it and how different it is to that of the official.

The only problem with a physical chart now would be having the X Factor Finalists or Matt Cardle at #1 for god knows how many weeks, or hanging around the top 5 for ages. Its like watching paint dry.

I rather have a downloads chart with everything thrown in.

The OCC compile a physicals only chart...

I've never seen it, is it on their website?

I think there is a physicals chart, but nobody talks about it, because it'll be a bit boring come June with When We Collide still in the top 10 or whatever.

Also, if there wasn't a physicals chart, I don't see why they would have to publish one "instead" of the download chart. I know the download chart isn't that different to the singles chart now, but there's no reason why they couldn't do both (which I believe they do), considering all those other charts they publish too.

Think I phrased things badly, I didn't mean they should cancel the download chart, just display both, I may be in a minority, and yes, the physicals chart could become 'the x-factor' chart, but I'd be interested to see just how different they are.
I'd like to see it published alongside the downloads chart, it's actually more interesting now given how much the downloads chart reflects the official one.
I would like to see the full physical chart, if only to see some of the lower entries... is it still published in Music Week? Or ChartsPlus?

What - you've never seen a chart before 23/4/2005? ;)

LOL! very amusing!!

Music Week did used to carry the chart but haven't for a long while now. Chartsplus have never carried it though if enough people asked for it they probably would do so...

Apart from X Factor winners, charity releases and fan based acts the #1 usually sells less than 1,000 copies so it would be a niche chart.

It would be a pretty pitiful chart, so no....
