If On The Floor don't go at least top 3, it will be shame! Summer anthem only released on winter!

I think J-lo is past it I think she will scrape Top 20 just.Skepta has also tweeted his support for Chipmunk did not know he was that popular with so many other acts.

I think it will do A LOT better than 'just scraping the Top 20'...

You mean if 'On The Floor' doesn't get to #1... :P It deserves to get to #1 anyway.

Its EPIC. My favourite song of the year so far. It HAS to be a Summer SMASH.

Totally right! I predict number 1, as it's bloody amazing! At last, a good song to return JLO to the charts!

Seriously people since when was the last time the general public heared JLo. People think of her more as a movie star these days.

I don't like it...

also, No.1 is a bit too high, top 10 at a push, what Marrb said IMO.

I don't think so! A lot of artists had flop times aka Mariah Carey, but when they return with an actually good song (On the Floor=Europe will love it), they chart good! I'm almost sure that On The Floor will go number 1!

Just done the unthinkable and downloaded Chipmunk-Champion clean version

"GRABS COAT"

J-Lo sang a verse on Dynamite actually. I wish they released it. :(

But she has done something recently.

Also, if anybody is interested, Chipmunk is #1 on the 1Xtra chart, which means he's outsold Jessie J based on Sunday-Friday's sales. Obviously we've still got today's sales to take into account though. http://www.bbc.co.uk/1xtra/chart/singles/

She's back will a strong solid single, which if is supported with enough airplay has the potential (imo) to be one of the biggest tracks of year...

That, and she's being watched on American Idol by around 700k+ people each week on ITV2 at the moment...

I personally wouldn't say people see her as more of a movie star either...

Get. Out. <_<

:P

She recorded a track for her last movie, and released a single back in 2009.

Plus she has young kids at home.

You do realise Mariah had to put out It's Like That (a modest hit) before getting to her big comeback hit (We Belong Together)?

The way I see it, J-Lo is in the same boat Mariah was in then. On The Floor needs to re-establish herself in the music scene by getting top 10 in most of the important territories and that would be a huge accomplishment. Then she can perhaps build on that afterwards. But I would be surprised if she got a massive #1 straight off the bat when she practically has to build her music career back upwards from the ground again.

JLo hasn't had a hit for many years, but still doesn;t mean she will flop! Great song, i believe a great video too and with a good support from media she will easily get herself a good hit! I don't say people to love JLo, but to like the song!

I don't find it necessary to re-built or whatever her career, to get a hit. If a song is good, why not succeed? How many times have we seen unknown name s to get huge hits? And why not re-establish herself with On The Floor?

POP bars advance towards Lady Gaga,

Loons attack

I think some fans wont download any songs apart from hers to make sure she gets to number 1 next week :P

The song is not that strong and Pitbull ruins his own songs and just about every featured artist slot he has.I am not being a hater she is a really good performer but not sure if her fanbase is still huge.

Because she needs to get everything (the media, the public etc) back on her side first! If On The Floor gets top 10, then the next single will probably get more support from the important places (because radios naturally react to the level of popularity) and things can build from there.

And you can't compare it to unknown/new artists as they never lost the support in the first place...

There are not many examples of acts coming back with a #1 hit after drastically losing support before. In fact, I can't think of any at all, but maybe someone else can?

Not even Britney managed it... and she is a much bigger star than JLO.

When weren't they on her side?

She still has a loyal fanbase, she is on peoples screens every week on American Idol and getting rave reviews for it. On The Floor is a great son

and it sounds like Love? will be an amazing album. With proper promo etc there is no reason why she can't get at least Top 10.

I think Pitbull is fantastic on the song, especially his second verse which i feel breaks the song up nicely and makes the comeback into the final chorus EPIC.

Well like i said before, she's being watched by over 700k people a week on American Idol, surely thats beneficial and she's getting more fans from that? Also, like what Edward88 said, as long as the song is great (which 'On The Floor' is), it will sell itself... She has still got fans from the good old Jenny From The Block days too..
