February 11, 201114 yr Err... Apple? :P It may have actually been Billboard's Editorial Director who made the prediction based on information he received from Apple :P
February 11, 201114 yr Apple is sending an email to EVERYONE in the entire world who has ever bought a Lady GaGa song on iTunes, reminding them to buy her new single. It'll definitely be #1 pretty quickly- 14 hours maybe? :o Wow! Free promotion! Is this happening for all the artists? Then, i assume around 12-24 hours! Probably too optimistic but well...we are on the right track baby
February 11, 201114 yr 12-24 hours I think, there is quite a lot of hype and it got its first play this morning I'm not expecting it to 'crash itunes with the sheer velocity of downloads :P ' or whatever, but there is a bit more hype and exposure than Hold It Against Me (which I never thought would get to number 1 btw)

February 11, 201114 yr I purchased it at 2pm bang on. Amazing. I reckon it'll be #1 by 6pm-ish tonight but narrowly miss the UK #1 on Sunday but will then get the top spot next week.
February 11, 201114 yr 24 hours by the time it reaches on iTunes, its disappointing though, it sounds exactly like Express Yourself. I reckon it be top 20 on Sunday, its just by the time the track hits iTunes which will will be tomorrow morning, there is only 24 hours of sales to it not even that, there is no way its going to get top 5.

February 11, 201114 yr I reckon it'll chart somewhere between #20-25 on Sunday. Hopefully Top 3/5 next week? Then eventually getting to #1 the week the video is released...
February 11, 201114 yr I reckon it'll chart somewhere between #20-25 on Sunday. Hopefully Top 3/5 next week? Then eventually getting to #1 the week the video is released... I'm glad there's one Gaga fan capable of making a relatively sane prediction! This is what I roughly expect too (well, maybe not the last part, depends what the video is like). And seriously, to the other poster, her lead on iTunes would have to be so huge that everyone else's would be miniscule in comparison for her to even "narrowly miss #1" on Sunday. I mean, Chipmunk is probably going to sell like 80k+ this week? Wake up. I have no idea why so many people on this forum just don't engage their brain properly when making predictions
February 11, 201114 yr It's actually not that hard to do. I know it was a charity single but when Peter Kay & Matt Lucas released 500 Miles, it was released on download at 8pm on the Friday night. It charted at #3 on the Sunday.
