February 11, 201114 yr well whoever said less than an hour is wrong  I don't think iTunes has updated yet- they usually only do it every couple of hours, don't they?
February 11, 201114 yr It's actually not that hard to do. I know it was a charity single but when Peter Kay & Matt Lucas released 500 Miles, it was released on download at 8pm on the Friday night. It charted at #3 on the Sunday. Not only was it a charity single (which tend to be the only ones to be able to command those kind of rapid sales, along with X Factor winning singles), but it was also released in a MUCH lower sales climate, so it didn't have to sell anywhere near as quickly as Gaga would have to. You really need to lower your expectations or you're going to be severely disappointed when Gaga "only" gets in at the bottom half of the top 40 this week.
February 11, 201114 yr True - but there's also a slight difference in how well known Lady G is... :P ...Britney. This forum's overestimation of BTW is ridiculous as expected - cue people branding it a 'flop' when it comes nowhere near their insane expectations (like HIAM) :( Edited February 11, 201114 yr by ★BlindFaithBray★
February 11, 201114 yr I'm willing to admit a certain amount of egg on my face. The humble pie is in the oven.
