February 16, 201114 yr To be honest ... whereas all the others (in turn ... and shock and amazement ... even Gary) seem to be happy to do the backing vocals/harmonizing - and please don't take this the wrong way - unless Robbie is singing the lead - he does seem dis-interested. I really don't know how long this can last. I think he should be thinking about returning to his solo stuff asap ... and make Progress the last album he makes with the guys. I think being in a band (any band - even if U2 or Coldplay asked him to join them) is like being in a strait-jacket for him. Kath I won't take it the wrong way. He is not a bad person.. but he is Robbie. He is the star, he's got the charisma and the ego as well. I don't think he could ever stand to be benched! Even though he likes the TT project, it is like a voice inside his head keeps whispering 'step up'. He said nothing at the awards ceremony so that the rest (who were trully pleased and speechless like they usually are) wouldn't feel he is trying to lead or play the charismatic one, but it somehow looks inevitable to me too. The TT project was worked out admirably well so far though. (thats because they really like each other now, it is still difficult to squeeze them into one act nevertheless)

I'm just not really sure about a bunch of middle aged guys prancing about with daft wee dance routines. I'll need to watch it again. And yes, I fully expected Robbie to wander off stage left. Did you not think that Rob looked a bit embarrassed when Mark was overdoing it on the 'Thanks Rob for getting us a Brit award'. February 19, 201114 yr Saw the performance on you tube and it's clear for me that I don't have to be sorry that I didn't buy tickets to see Take That on tour. I felt uncomfortable watching it. It's not that I hate TT that much it's more that I really don't like watching Robbie doing his dance moves along with the others. My love for Robbie was always about him being a free spirit and not give a $h!t about what others think when he was going crazy on stage. It's all very slick and staged.
