Nadine Coyle confirms Girls Aloud's 10th anniversary reunion

Girls Aloud will reunite for their 10-year anniversary in 2012, according to band member Nadine Coyle.

The singer told internet radio host Dean Kelly the that band would get back together next year.

Coyle said: "We always discuss doing a 10-year reunion thing. So that's going to be next year."

"We're definitely going to do something. But it's a whole huge production. Girls Aloud is not just us five, there's like us five plus a ridiculous team of 50 who travel with us, it's amazing." Their manager Hilary Shaw has also said that the five-piece will come together next year.

She said: "Everybody wants them to make a comeback and it will be next year. Well, it is their 10th anniversary so there will be something." Shaw added that a new studio album is unlikely, but said the girls are "getting on great".

She added: "They speak all the time, and that includes Cheryl [Cole] and Nadine [Coyle] with the other girls. Cheryl is keen to get back with the girls, and is planning something which could be a one-off or some gigs."

A pity about an album being unlikely, but glad to hear more news from one of the Girls.

I'm disappointed there won't be a new album, we've waited long enough...

I'm assuming this will be like the Spice Girls.. new songs/single and greatest hits then tour.

Yeah I would really love at least 1 more Studio album from them at some point! But I'd rather a GH's and a tour than nothing at all!

What about their 3-album deal?

I was thinking this!

I'm assuming that deal would include 2 studio albums and a greatest hits. I'm hoping it does.

Deals in the music industry mean nothing at all sadly :(

Looks like next year will be the end :(

I think alot will rest on how the re union goes, im sure a new single will be released to test the water and it will be taken from there.

That sounds quite realistic. I hope it's a sure fire hit song to keep them around for a long time (Promise type hit) But then I crave for their experimental music that never really set the charts alight but made them credible (Biology type hit)

I still think it's gone beyond the point of no full return now, a single (no doubt The Sound of Girls Aloud Vol 2) and tour will be great, but it will never be back to how it was.

Please PROVE me wrong!

When is this reunion realistically going to happen? Nicola's album comes out in September and she'll be promoting that through until probably June.

I doubt it, unless Lucky Day becomes a million seller. If Lucky Day doesn't do well I think the era will be over as soon as the album arrives tbh. :(

I don't think this Nicola's era will be very long... maybe till Jan/Feb time which would free her up for the end of the year.

Isn't Cheryl making another album this year? that'll be the only thing that could get in the way.

I guess all the rumours of Cheryl's album arriving in August were false then :( She is bound to get an X Factor performance slot though right?

But will she want to go on there after all that has happened??

To finish my point though, lord knows when Nadine's dropping her CD, isn't Sarah tempting music soon? And Cheryl has a new album coming eventually.

I just want a new Girls Aloud album, along the lines of "Untouchable".

If it shifts albums and singles I'm sure she will, also she seems to have made it up with Simon!

Would leave her open to another backlash from da hatahs though. Going back on not returning to sell her new material.

I'd love to see her perform on it, as it might be the only week I watch this year

Yes true but what a better way to shut the haters up with scoring more number 1 singles and millions more sales!

Nicola has said in basically every interview that she has done lately that there will definitely be something happening next year
