I doubt figures will be much higher next week than this, so even if The Saturdays sold similar amounts to Wordshaker/Chasing Lights that would see them around #12-14. Personally I think this will sell similar to/a little more than Headlines which would see them at #9/10.

I really want to be proved wrong (obviously) but I just cannot see that whatsoever. Everything is hinting towards this being a flop of fairly distrastrous proportions... no significant placings on any of the online stores, no massive hit single, current single a flop, comparable releases either a flop (Pixie) or only a minor success on the back of numerous big hits (The Wanted). I've got an awful feeling in my waters.

Tbf Pixie's album was absolutely abysmal.
But the general public/casual buyer wouldn't know that until they purchased the album. (And it's obviously down to opinion).

I dunno, I get the feeling that they'll perform better than Pixie did this week. Although, I had "good feelings" about 'My Heart Takes Over' :(

I know Itunes doesn't count that much towards the official chart, but it's at 23 on there now. Hopefully it will be top 10 atleast by tomorrow afternoon, if not, they are in trouble. I hate to be so negative, but the singles have been amazing, and My Heart Takes Over could have easily been top 10 if it was all done the right way, like they did for All Fired Up. I really hope this album can go top 10.

It's worthy of top 5 in my opinion. Do What You Want With Me is amazing. So is Promise Me & Wish I Didn't Know & Last Call & Faster. Near enough the whole album.

Digital sales only account for about 30% of the market so even if they aren't selling very well online all is not lost. I will be in this bubble of hope until the Tuesday midweeks, please prove me right Una + others.
Sats release weeks really mess with my nerves. In for another nervous and stressful week! :P

iTunes is not really significant for album sales, but given the status of 'singles artist' the group has, it's very interesting how the singles audience is answering to their releases, specially what are the album tracks they're more interested on and so.

Now the album is up to #20, and All Fired Up is up to around #127.

I remain optimistic, because the album deserves success, and at least a Top 10 placing!

Don't get obsessed about the chart position, they can have great sales charting inside the top15/20.

Last weeks album sales - could be a guideline for how well the album could do:

1 Michael Buble 87,787

2 JLS 85,218

3 Snow Patrol 80,072

5 Drake 36,980

6 Susan Boyle 35,782

14 Lady Gaga 22,093

17 Andrea Bocelli 19,798

18 Pixie Lott 18,503

19 REM 15,470

It's hard to be optimistic about this release but hopefully they get their highest first week sales with this. Chasing Lights and Headlines were both 22k first week weren't they? They should be able to improve on those now. But whether they will remains to be seen... anything less than 30k would be a pretty bad and embarrassing result though imo, especially since to an extent they're more established and well known now, they're four/three - whichever you want to define OYR as :P - albums into their career - the sales should show some kind of progression and growth but I doubt they will here. I'm praying we don't have a Wordshaker Part II on our hands here. :(

Based on those sales then, surely Top 15 is a dead cert? I can see them doing 25k at the least.

I have a wee shopping trip planned on Friday, I imagine I will pick up the album then, I have loved the singles and b-sides.

As long as I get Horrible Bosses on DVD, they will get a sale from me

My deluxe fan edition arrived today! :D Listening to the album right now, will do a rate after I've given it a couple more listens.

Also, Greg James apparently said on Radio 1 that 'Faster' is the next single.

#12 on iTunes now.. hopefully it can get into the top 10 there and get some exposure boost!

can someone upload booklet pictures? :)

Found these on http://thesaturdaysdaily.org/gallery/thumb...astup&cat=0 - follow the link and the rest of the inside of the booklet is uploaded! (Thank you messages, cd front cover/back cover etc are all there) :)

I love the photobooth style pictures of the girls inside the booklet.:D

My deluxe fan edition still hasn't arrived, hopefully I'll get it tomorrow :)

On the whole I'm disappointed. I wanted them to step up their game with this album, and they just haven't done so. There's plenty of good songs, 'Faster' and 'Get Ready Get Set' in particular, but nothing that really stands out as being brilliant or at least up to the standard that existed with most of the tracks on 'Chasing Lights'.

A shame it's probably going to be a disaster chart wise too. I was actually rather surprised when 'My Heart Takes Over' did so badly, it all seemed to be going reasonably well for them.

So, I've listened to the album MANY times now and here is my rate. I didn't expect some of these to be so great after the 90 second clips.

-----------------------------------------------------------10/10

01. White Lies (I hated this at first! :o )

02. Get Ready, Get Set (...and this!!! :o )

03. Promise Me (...and this! :o )

04. Last Call

05. The Way You Watch Me feat. Travie McCoy

06. For Myself

07. Wish I Didn't Know

08. I Say OK

09. Move On U

10. Faster

----------------------------------------------------------- 9/10

11. Notorious

12. All Fired Up

----------------------------------------------------------- 8/10

13. My Heart Takes Over

14. Do What You Want With Me

I think this is their best album to date!!! Let's just hope it ages well.
