Hollywood are the most stupid label ever. If they just promoted an era properly by sending the tracks to radio, they'd not need to put an album out less than YEARLY. I'm 3rd album in less than 3 years musically, really? The fact that when she tours she performs the majority of her first album shows how that is clearly her favorite one.

I'm seriously pissed. If sent to radio, ANY of the songs on "A Year Without Rain" could've been hits.

'A Year Without Rain' is absolutely brilliant. It's K Dollar Sign Ha's 'Animal' baby sister. Such a fantastic album. Looking forward to hearing this, perhaps more than I should. Also, I want her to do some sort of rap in her song (I love what she did with 'Super Bass' by Nicki Minaj)!
Selena really moves on to her next album very quick, i agree if the label spend time promoting her previous album she might have more success, its like there is hardly no promo effort put in at all, my daughter is a huge fan but some of her releases go so unnoticed that not even my daughter knows the stuff is even released( saves me a few quid though!!!)

Like seriously, Hollywood need to wise up.

They shoulda released "I Won't Apologize" as single #3 from "Kiss & Tell", at that time she had so much hype, they shoulda played on that, instead of getting a new album out of her and the dreaded "Round & Round" (which I like, don't get me wrong, but "Summers Not Hot", "A Year Without Rain", "Off The Chain" would be far more wonderful lead singles).

Again, they need to wise up. They ruined Hilary Duff's music career, and the "Can't Be Tamed" era.

I never really understood why Hollywood only release TWO singles per album when there are a few more single-worthy songs that could keep the album selling

'A Year Without Rain' should've been the first single off that era TBH, it was more listenable than 'Round & Round' which didn't really click with me. It could've even gotten her Top 20 in the US and judging by the fact it got to #78 in the UK so little promotion (did she even promote it at all?) showed that it had potential to go Top 40 or even higher if it was the lead single.

We should be the ones handling these people's career  -_- We know what's best and what songs have potential :kink:

New song/album is great and all but... already?

AYWR still feels quite new and there's a few songs that begged for release (Off The Chain perhaps?!)

Need to exhaust each album more. Only 1 single pre-album and 1 after is not enough.

A 3rd and 4th would've lifted album sales loads as well as sending the best song, AYWR, to radio like Naturally was. 0_o

Gomez also stated that the album will feature a track written by British artist Pixie Lott. She said: "There is one [song]that I'm completely in love with, and it was written by Pixie Lott, who I am obsessed with. And it's my mum's favourite song. It's very sweet. It's kind of a ballad, but not really. It's basically about living in the moment; it's about enjoying right now. I'm very much enjoying right now. I'm in a good place."
Shut up bitch and get on with the second single/promotion (at least) please. Thanks :)
I can guess that Pixie's song may be the second single, which would be brilliant as she will get more notice in the US, before she releases her long awaited album!

Apparently, she's changed the name of her album from 'Otherside' to 'When The Sun Goes Down'

I slightly preferred 'Otherside' as the album title tbh :(

I think I prefer 'When The Sun Goes Down' to 'Otherside' :D

Also, some other dates from Wikipedia:

Countdown single 1: 'Bang Bang Bang' - Release June 7

Countdown single 2: 'Dices' - Release June 14 (Spanish version of 'Who Says')

2nd single: 'Love You Like A Love Song' - Release June 21

Album: 'When The Sun Goes Down' - Release June 28 (US), July 4 (UK)

I presume the rest of the dates (apart from album) are for the US :)
