It would be incredible if he did manage it. Skimming through that list, on a select few songs have climbed to sales over 100,000 (What's My Name?, Someone Like You, Meet Me Halfway, Just the Way You Are), and they all did it with massive TV performances. It would be a huge achievement if Pitbull managed it! :o

Gosh, imagine he performed on BGT. I don't even want to think. :drama:

Did Born This Way sell more than 100,000 in its first 7 days? (Although i'm guessing we're counting chart weeks?)

Yeah, I think it sold over 150,000 actually!

I'm still surprised Shayne Ward sold 742,180 copies. I know it was released for Xmas and it's X Factor related, but it's still very impressive considering 2005 sales were generally very low and I don't think the physical was out until Wednesday. I actually bought his single for my mum for Xmas, I don't know if she still has it though.

Probably not considering how crap it was

Whats the dealio with all these example comments? I've heard the song, its quite good but its not like he was massive last time. Not saying it won't do well but why do so many people seem to be certain its gonna be massive/no1?

Because it's been held back and it's got good pre orders. Plus the fact it's a great song helps it a lot

I certainly hope Example gets to #1! :o We can't have Pitbull for 4 weeks. Mr. Saxobeat is too far behind to get it next week, unless she has a surprise performance on BGT or something. :drama:
surprised not to see Lady Gaga on the list to be honest.

Wow, that's a point. "Born This Way" sold over 140k in seven days but split over two chartweeks...

I, as a GaGa fan am still pissed off that GaGa missed out on having a number one from this great era, simply because the track was released on Friday when they could have easily waited until Sunday. -_-

Weren't Matt's sales higher than this? I thought he was challenging Eminem/Rihanna for the biggest seller of the year at the time.

I sussed it!! ;)
