quite a boring week it will be...

what are Alexis Jordan and Chris Brown doing in the Top 10?! these tracks are utterly rubbish, good candidates for 2011's most cringeworthy pieces of crap music along with Britney Spears, Justin Bieber and Enrique Iglesias. :puke2:

I'm tired of Jessie J and Lady Gaga too. Luckily there's Adele around who defends good music in this terrible climax.

Gosh, that's a bit dramatic (not that I'm one to talk )!

I think it's an okay top 10. It could be better, but it's a LOT better than the top 10s we were having around this time last year.

You don't lose sales because of fake version, how many times has this been said??

The fake versions are different from the correct version and people will buy the correct version when it's out, regardless if they have the fake version or not...

Fake versions are slightly different but it's still the same song. If someone likes the song but doesn't care about the artist, he might be enough with the fake version. I personnally don't see the reason of buying the same song in multiple versions in a short period of time.

I don't follow iTunes charts so closely so I don't remember last year's Top 10 (probably it was equally uninteresting as the dominance of rap/r&b is the main problem of the current bad state of the music industry in my humble opinion).

Generally speaking, the Top 10 is maybe not so bad as it could have been. My main concern was its stability and lack of big changes but for the sake of a good number one, I hope Adele extends her run there :D

Yeah, it'll be a combination with the fake versions. Some will be content with what they've got (which depends on how good the cover version is, and whether they still like the song by the time it's released), and some will want/be intending to buy the original version anyway, when it's released.

Well, I'm actually a massive fan of hip hop (Jay-Z is in my sig ) and RnB (Beyonce is in my sig ). I can't remember exactly what was top 10 on iTunes back then, but if I hated it so much, it was probably due to a lack of those genres, if anything!

The top 10 is hardly full of R&B and hip hop. Some people really have problems with genre classifications on this site

It's full of pop music, as usual. It nearly always is.

It is a really bad top 10, though. But then I always seem to think that and then a couple of months later I'm looking back thinking "oh, it wasn't so bad"... I remember how much I hated the charts in 2004 (at the time) but looking back I think they were actually quite good!

[03] 05| Jedward feat. Vanilla Ice - Under Pressure (Ice Ice Baby)

[06] 06| Alicia Keys - Empire State Of Mind (Part II) Broken Down (also #84)

[07] 07| 3OH!3 feat. Katy Perry - Starstrukk (also #285)

Hopefully! The chorus is SO good! I had it stuck in my head all day! If it becomes a single, there's going to be some EPIC remixes of it! Seriously! :D

I think it might be How You Like Me Now though, because the first single was Track 1, Happiness, and the second single is Track 2, Good Girl. How You Like Me Now is Track 3, so perhaps they've already planned for it to be the third single? We'll have to see I guess. They could always change their mind.

Good to see Chipmunk/Chris Brown still doing okay. Doesn't make it any better of a song, but some people were quite nasty about that song a few weeks ago. :(

If they release How You Like Me Now over Hush Hush they must be tone-deaf in all aspects of the word  Go Alexis Good Girl for top 5 please X

Alexis is not rubbish. :drama: Good Girl is so inspiring and lyrically smart and her voice is amazing X.

Although i think we don't have same taste in music, i absolutely agree! That was awful week

Only songs i like from top 10:

[06] 06| Alicia Keys - Empire State Of Mind (Part II) Broken Down (also #84)

[10] 10| Example - Won't Go Quietly

Rest crap :puke2:

I'm disappointed to see Kanye down at #38. I guess the video effect is officially over :( I guess I shouldn't be complaining too much considering I was expecting it to come in at around #61 or something a few weeks ago when it looked like the video was seemingly never going to come in time to have any impact.

Also, it is indeed good to see I Need A Doctor climbing up. It's growing on me a lot and I quite like it now. Though hopefully it won't outpeak Forgot About Dre (#7 in 2000) as the quality gap between these two songs is still massive :)

And good for Noah and the Whale too! Maybe they can go top 20 next week when the album is released (probably stretching a bit, but oh well).

Apart from that: Zzzzzzzz.

Yeah, it was just sooooooo boring around that time. :( Barely any good music. I know this top 10 isn't the best right now, but I'm just glad it's not like what we had previously!

Replay is one of the worst songs ever (I'm exaggerating a bit ). At the time, loads of people I knew were obsessed with the song, and when I'd ask why, they'd always say "It's SO catchy", but I really didn't find it catchy in the slightest. Just so boring, and exactly the same all the way through. :( Like the only different bit in the song was where he said something about a symphony, and then a string instrument played for like 3 seconds. A song is utterly dreadful if you find yourself sitting there tapping your feet waiting for a 3 second-long string melody. Solo, So Big and Pyramid were all better for Iyaz songs. If you wanted catchy songs, Whatcha Say and Ridin' Solo by Jason Derulo were popular at the same time, and were MILES better!

However, in the space of a few months, I was finding myself looking at the top 10, and thinking "Wow, I find 9 of these songs actually amazing!".

In a way, I'm glad Kanye West has gone down on iTunes, it saves me doing all the write up on the credit list on my top 40 chart database :D

I would love it to go top 40 though. I was thinking, if it gets in, then there'd kind of be 6 Rihanna-related songs in the top 40! S&M, Who's That Chick?, Singing in the Rain/Umbrella, What's My Name?, Only Girl and then All of the Lights. Then there's I Need a Doctor which sounds like exactly the same as Love the Way You Lie, Part II, and... okay, I think I'm pushing it a bit now.

But I thought that song was credited solely to Kanye West, officially. Or is it just on iTunes they're doing that?
