Britney's released now? HIAM was still holding up quite well, anyway I can't see it doing much- maybe top 10, if HIAM couldn't even go top 5 I can't see this doing a lot better

Whoever decides Britney's UK releases are stupid. I think everyone knows, for a song to be succesful, it needs to have good radio and TV airplay. "HIAM" got lucky because of the radio. But, this song hasn't been sent yet (as far as I know), and there isn't a video. I feel like, they should wait till the video is released and gets good airplay. I think "HIAM" could of gone top three if it was released after the video came out.

It can still be played on the radio if it hasn't been "sent" though. Like when they "send" a song to radio, they like give the song to them, and ask them to play it, but radio stations can still pick like any existing song and play it. Someone Like You is the most current example of this, where stations like Capital started playing it pretty much immediately after the BRITs (and Radio 1 had even played it a few times before the BRITs!). That's also how album tracks get played on the radio.

So basically, you're right in the sense that it'll hinder its potential airplay for now, but it'll still get some airplay.

Oh right. I actually never knew that. I always thought the record label had to give the station permission or something. :P But still, I think they should of released after the video comes out.

Wonderland are another faceless UK girl-group, the song itself is average too. I'm surprised they have managed to break the top-100!

It's just a really good song (at least in my opinion)!

The beat is incredible aswell (although it was made by the same people that made the beats for Only Girl and Firework, so, it's not surprising that this is also incredible!). It's also a total anthem!!!

And in the US, it took 18 weeks to climb to #1! :o I guess it just grew on people over time. It's been around for ages, although I only discovered it a couple of months ago to be honest.

It was in the top 10 for ages before that, it would have just been another pretty big top 10 hit but then it got lucky and got 1 week at #1 just as it was starting to fall.

Yeah, it was around for ages! I guess it's a little bit like What's My Name? How it sold 90,000+ for 3 weeks at #2, and then got to #1 on 50,000!

Britney in at #31, at least it's a decent entry :D
