How on earth is a song being catchy a bad thing!? :o That's just ridiculous. Baby is not remotely catchy to me. That's why I don't like it. There are lots of songs which aren't catchy that I like (such as I Need a Doctor, Champion, etc.), but I like them for different reasons, such as the raps.

That's not what I said - it just irks me a bit when people use the word 'catchy' as a synonym for 'good' because it isn't. Being catchy can be good *or* bad. If a good song is catchy it's a good thing, but if a bad song is catchy (I direct you again to Baby - I don't know about you but I get the 'baby baby baby ohhhh like baby baby baby nooooo' part stuck in my head for ages every time I hear it) all that does it makes it stick in your memory and prolongs your suffering of having to listen to it.

Thanks? :P

Oh, I see. That's fair enough.

And I guess I'm quite lucky that I don't find Baby catchy.

RITD back up to #10.

And Buzzin' up to #33!! :w00t:

If Down On Me and Buzzin are both top 40 this week that'll be 2 top 40 entries in the same week for 50 Cent when his last top 40 entry was Baby By Me at the end of 2009. This is a similar 'multiple entries after long absence' thing that we've already seen this year with T-Pain (Hey Baby entered at #59 and Move That Body at #71 in the same week, his last new top 100 hit was 'Freeze' in 2008) and also with Akon (Kush, Hold My Hand, I Just Had Sex and Move That Body entered within eight weeks of each other, his last new top 100 hit was Oh Africa in early 2010). Odd.

Indeed. It's weird aswell, because it never seemed like any of them were gone that long. I don't know if it's just time moving quickly, or if I welcomed their absences, or what?

Also, about Buzzin', is it actually credited to 50 Cent. The 50 Cent version is a remix, but I don't know if it's registered as the single version. It probably is, because I don't know if the original version is even up for download.

EDIT: Doesn't matter. It charted on the Urban chart last week, and they called it "Buzzin Remix" and credited it to "Mann ft. 50 Cent". http://www.theofficialcharts.com/urban-charts/

Yes, AFAIA it is the 50 Cent remix that's being pushed as the single version here so 50 Cent does get a credit. Strange because it is just that, a remix, in the USA where the original is the one that's charting.

Yeah, I guess it's bit like Higher by Taio Cruz, where who's credited on it seems to vary from country to country.

I'm surprised it's doing so well though. I've still not heard the song anywhere (apart from when I've youtubed it of course ).

- This song is a joke. Is this his next single here? (Chris Brown - Look At Me Now)

- Nicole is going to do really well with Dont Hold Your Breath, i'd be shocked if it didnt go top 5. She's done a lot of promo and has had good tv support. Quite a lot better then Poison, everyone I know really didnt like that song, but this song on the other hand is like-able. #4 i'd say to be safe. :)

I would've thought Chris Brown's next single in the UK would be Beautiful People. Look At Me Now is just too American to do well over here I think. People here would probably think the song is a joke.

I hope Don't Hold Your Breath does well! I think it will definitely go top 10. I've heard lots of people talking about it.

Beautiful People is his next UK single

Makes sense. It sounds more European, and I just can't imagine hearing Look At Me Now in the top 40, however hard I try.

That's what happen's when you are in a hurry .

50,000 does seem very high for a #5. I remember lots of albums getting to #1 on sales of like 40,000 last year. I don't know really. Perhaps they are increasing, although I would've expected them to keep decreasing year-on-year tbh.

What's that song at #98? Your Favourite Martian by Club Villain or whatever?!

yeah thats what i mean no1s were selling 40k last year now the top 5 is easily utselling that!!

I think Nicole's going top 5 at leats over here. I was thinking that The Wanted would snatch the #1 spot but from their dismal performance on Irish iTunes it doesn't look like it.....
big NE next week will do allright as salses this week should be down a bit with all the upward movement and lack of new songs!!
^ I think The Wanted usually do better in the UK than in Ireland though. I don't think they've ever even been top 10 in Ireland.
do charity songs for the UK usually do well in Ireland as well? probably a stupid question, but does anyone know what positions the comic relief songs reached in the Irish chart?

I think the same too, then again that awful Black and Yellow song is so American and in the top 10, so who knows how well Look At Ne Now would do in the UK, however I just can't see it in the charts high up, Beautiful People should be his next UK single.

I hope they don't get to number 1 tbh.
Me too but sadly anything which is a charity song, whether it good or bad usually gets the top spot, I've got nothing against charity songs, I've brought many in the past but it helps if the song is good and if it deserves the top spot on it's own merits
