March 16, 201114 yr I can't see any of those coming close to Adele except possibly The Strokes. Adele's sales will surely benefit from Mother's Day.
March 16, 201114 yr The Robbie Williams one isn't a studio album is it? the only ones I can see challenging are the Strokes and maybe Nicole and Ronan but I doubt that
March 16, 201114 yr Author I doubt Nicole will be a #1 contender, I think she'll have an Alexis Jordan kind of impact on the chart. I doubt Britney will do very well with her new album, so i cant see anyone knocking her off soon, no album coming up in the next few weeks will sell 100+ so for them to be #1 it will have to be when Adele starts selling less than 100,000 copies a week so could be a while..
March 16, 201114 yr I reckon she will be number 1 until her 11th week, then she will go back to number 1 after that. I only bought it last week, I am sure there will be many more sales. Edited March 16, 201114 yr by starryeyed
March 16, 201114 yr I still have not got it yet :( How long until they tend to start the £5 sales on albums? Edited March 16, 201114 yr by Jam.

March 17, 201114 yr Chris Brown has zero chance of being #1. Nicole should go low Top 5. Ronan will obviously sell alot in the lead up to Mother's Day but Adele appeals to the same market so she'll easily beat him. I even think she'll beat the Foos. If she stayed at #1 till Gaga I would be ecstatic!

March 17, 201114 yr I am genuinely shocked that she's managed 7 weeks, I was expecting it to be 3/4 at the most, but wow! Seriously thought albums from the likes of Chase & Status and Jessie J would manage to get the #1 spot. Then there's the likes of Mumford & Sons not climbing to the number-one spot despite winning 'British Album of the Year' and now recently Elbow and soon-to-be The Vaccines have ended up at number 2. Serious competition (surely) comes from Foo Fighters and The Strokes, Britney is doubtful, I can see her getting top 5 at best.
March 17, 201114 yr Author Wow, poll so far with 52 votes, 17 of you think more then 11 weeks, thats brilliant, hope so! :D
March 17, 201114 yr I've voted More - technically this could happen. Even if Adele does spend 11 consecutive weeks at #1, and there's still no certainty that Foo Fighters will get #1 (see Elbow, R.E.M.). Even if Foo Fighters did get to #1, Adele would end up returning to #1 eventually. If 'Set Fire To The Rain' is confirmed as the third single in mid-April, that will boost the album sales. '21' looks set to become one of the UK's biggest selling albums of all time. I think this is what makes the whole thing so extraordinary considering the state of the UK album charts (sales wise) away from the #1 spot.
March 17, 201114 yr I think she can do more than 11 weeks (although maybe not consecutively). It's incredible to see an album sell like this though! And with such consistency aswell! :o
