So looks like the two biggest possibilities, which i listed, are either Nicole or Adele at #1, both i'd be happy with. :)

I reckon I Know Him So Well could get the #1 purely from the DVD sales, which seems a little unfair as they should go into the Music DVD chart imo, especially seeing as the bonus tracks are the videos for Amarilio and 500 Miles - not the same song/artist! DVD's sell wayyyy more than albums generally, sometimes hundreds of thousands in a week for the big new releases, so a lot of people might see this Comic Relief mini-compilation as it were in the supermarkets for £4.99 and pop it in their trolley. Nobody will be buying it for the music of course and I really doubt that the CD single will sell in much of a quantity...
thats rather snobbish- theres no such thing as 'proper' soul, soul music is soul music, and surely people can listen to what they want?

THIS.

Can't stand it when people tell me I should be listening to 'real' or 'proper' music..by which they usually actually mean old rock music.

no, Peter Kay has more of a chance than both of those I think :P

people are underestimating him, did anyone expect the CIN medley to go to number 1 at the rate it was going? he has two different videos in the top 3 on the itunes video chart, so clearly his DVD is in high demand

physicals won't be that much I agree, but its DVD sales that is why is has a very big chance

Chart wizard, i don't mean to pick on you here mate.. but i think people are overestimating him, We all expected Wanted to have brilliant physiclas what failed aswell. Physicals are at an all time low and i can't see them shifting over 50k in physicals.

Agree 100%.

As chart wizard says, its not physicals per se [i.e. CD singles] - its a DVD which is an entirely different kettle of fish.

Surely, the Official chart will not allow dvd's to contribute towords the top 40, that's totally unfair.

I remember from when I used to work on the entertainment section at Asda that ANY Peter Kay related DVD sells like hotcakes on the week of release, this includes all previous charity singles and his Geraldine singles.

They always have done as they're an eligible chart format according to the OCC. I personally think that they should go into the Music DVD chart as music can't actually be played from them in a CD Player/iPod etc...but there we go.

I dont think so :P We'll see, interesting to see midweeks tomorrow morning!

I wonder how long it'll be before music video sales count towards the singles chart. I personally think they should do.

I agree, in that respect, a sale is a sale.

100% agree. I cant seem to think why sales arent added already, I mean yes its a video but its still the SONG.

If that's counted towords the OCC, then mustic video sales should be counted aswell, i agree with Bray.

Agreed on that point, it should be all or nothing. Seems a bit double standards otherwise, as people like me probably would have bought the DVD single a few years back, but nowadays I'd rather just download the video from iTunes. Still the same sale, yet only one format is counted towards the chart, it should be both or neither.

yeah, I agree music videos should be counted- their effectively also the DVD, so I don't see why they shouldn't

if they were currently, that would definitely work in his favour- he has two versions of the same video in the top 3 itunes music video chart

I agree. All music is proper music, whether other people like it or not.

And I've noticed the same as you too. Probably about 90% of the time someone mocks my music and tells me to listen to "proper" music, it's rock fans who do that. I rarely see that behaviour of fans of, say, dance, RnB, pop or hip hop, for example. They seem to be a lot more tolerant on the whole (obviously there's exceptions though).

Anyway, Chris Brown/Lil Wayne/Busta Rhymes up to #67!

And I think this will be Love the Way You Lie's last week in the top 75. :(

Kayne West at 21 with "All Of The Lights" - it's annoying that iTunes don't credit Rihanna on this song, I'm sure it would be around 14 by now if it was;

Kayne West "All Of The Lights (feat. Rihanna)"

And something tells me Comic Relief, Peter Kay, Susan Boyle & Geraldine McQueen are going to miss number one. Well this means Adele will be number one a fifth non consecutive week, who was the last person to do that? I'm sure it was a long time ago

If iTunes did credit all the featured artists on the song (especially Rihanna), I could've seen it doing a Game Over and shooting up the chart on the album release week.

Last person to have 5 weeks at #1 was Katy Perry, I think. And the last person to have 5 non-consecutive weeks was Shakira, I think.
