Think it could go down to the last game of the season for a lot of teams. All the teams down the bottom just seen to be so inconsistent. How the f*** Birmingham won the Carling Cup I'll never know. They were well and truly beaten off the park today.

Not looking good now, I really want United to be caught so I would want Chelsea to win if they weren't playing us :( looks like a foregone conclusion without Parker though, our last three games are all against bottom half teams so we'll have to start seriously scrapping. No one is doomed since Wigan temporarily climbed out, I still think they'll go though - alongside probably Blackpool and us.

I don't know what's gone wrong at West Ham but that club should not be getting relegated.

I think you need to lose Grant and obviously Obinna, Keane and Bridge will return to their parent clubs. The summer will probably see the sale or release of some, if not all, of Parker, Hitzlsperger, Green, Cole, Piquionne, Ba, Upson, Da Costa, Jacobson, Illunga, Ben Haim, Dyer, Kovac, Boa Morte and Faubert.

That's an insane amount of money generated through transfer fees and reduced wage bill.

Even if all of those went (which I'm sure they won't, look at Newcastle keeping the likes of Smith, Barton, Collocini and Jonas on huge wages) it would still give a base of Boffin, Spence, Gabbidon, Tomkins, Reid, Spector, Noble, Collison, Stanislas, O'Neill, Barrera, Hines and Sears. That is easily the base of a top 6 Championship side.

Final day games

Wolverhampton v Blackburn

Stoke v Wigan

Tottenham v Birmingham

Man Utd v Blackpool

Will be a very intrested game to say the least!

Blackpool have a chance, seeing as Utd won't care and will rest key players ahead of the CL final to avoid risking injury.

I think Birmingham will have a fight at White Hart Lane, with SPurs desperate for European action of some sort.

Again Wigan may have a chance to get past a deflated Stoke, and Wolves Blackburn I smell goals!

Best FINAL day ever!

Shaping up to be tense, have a feeling that Blackburn will play for the draw against Wolves, and if Wolves don't score early they'll sit back as well.

Birmingham need a win against Spurs, not sure whether they'll be able to do it, a point should be enough. Blackpool have a really good chance, but even with a 2nd string team Man Utd will probably be as good as Blackpool. Any team will score goals against them because they're shocking at defending, but who knows whether that will be allowed to happen or not...

Gabbidon is out of contract in the summer so he'll go, and we'll need some defensive cover. Boffin is not good enough, but Green is probably the most likely to stay of the England internationals anyway. If we could hold onto just one of Cole, Piquionne or Ba, they'd score 20 in that division. Sears looks like a great prospect and I'd be confident of automatic promotion with any team built around Mark Noble - the man is an absolute star, West Ham through and through.

I think Jack Collison will be awesome next season in the Championship, big fan of his, just hope he stays fit after his long time out!
If West Ham can keep their promising young players they could actually benefit from a season in the second division (I'm being old-faashioned  ). They could get more from regular first-team football at a lower level rather than the odd ten minutes here or there in the Premier League.
West Ham-Milwall next season. Oh dear.

Nightmare for the authorities, and hopefully for the Millwall manager :kink:

If they can keep a midfield of Stanislas - Collison - Noble - O'Neill I think most of the Championship will look on with fear!

That would be excellent, with Sears and one of either Ba, Piquionne or Cole up front depending on if any of them stay. The defence needs a complete overhaul though, Tomkins and Spence aside.

Two Championship teams in Europe next season  haha

But in seriousness I must be the only person around who couldn't give a fuck that Blackpool have gone down. I'm not arsed about the "wonderful attacking football" they play or how much of a "breath of fresh air" they've been (People were saying the same thing about Hull in their first season), and on top of that Holloway just annoys me more than anything. Not arsed in the slightest.
