Oasis blast split rumors

Rock supergroup Oasis have slammed reports they are to disband following the release of a greatest hits album later this year.

Stop The Clocks will feature 18 of the British band's best tracks, including Wonderwall, Half The World Away and Supersonic, as well as some lesser-known B-sides.

But the Gallagher brothers-fronted group deny the record heralds their demise, insisting it's merely their "dream set list."

They say: "This is not a full stop, but merely a time out and a chance for the world to review the immense contribution Oasis have made to rock 'n' roll."

A spokeswoman for the band adds: "(There's) absolutely no truth in these rumours.

"They've been touring for nearly two years and finished in May, and then they said they were going to take some time out."

Yeah its only natural that the media are gonna suggest that Oasis are on the verge of splitting, as the same happen with the Arctic Monkeys when their bassist left -_-
Oasis would probably be a band even more expected to split after the said in NME they wouldn't release a Greatest Hits until the end of their career but I do recon it probably isn't their idea, just sony trying to cash in before this contract runs out. ;)

split rumors ?

Tabloids don't really know how to fill pages ! :o

the press release about STC says clearly that the band is gonna work on the new album next year !
