#1 Adele

#2 Bruno

Adele has now overtaken Gaga's Fame Montser as biggest selling digital album ever in UK. :dancing:

Foo Fighters' Greatest Hits has INSANE longevity on iTunes, it's comfortably ahead of "Wasting Light". Probably because people see the sheer number of singles they recognise and think it's more than worth £4.99.

In other news, I'm pleasantly surprised as to how well The Lonely Island are holding up :D

Foo Fighters Greatest Hits up to #2, WOW. It's eighteen months old, this doesn't happen unless you're called Michael Bublé. I remember someone saying ages back they thought a Foos GH could sell a million, then it only got to #4. Could have been so much bigger if they'd done "Wheels" on X Factor instead of bloody Bon Jovi being on.

Wasting Light back up to #19 as well, hopefully the Big Weekend will push it back up in the official charts next week since it's taken a bit of a tumble this week.

That may have been me. I've always said if they promoted a Best Of with a great single (a 'Best of You' or a 'Pretender') it would sell a million. They've had big albums and have enough well known singles for it to be an album that casual fans produce, but 'Wheels' was rather uninspired. I can't even remember how it goes now....

The Eurovision compilation up to #3 :o

And Lena's new album in the top 200! Nice to see there are people who want to buy the official album of the German National Final

02 · Doo-Wops & Hooligans · Bruno Mars

03 · Foo Fighters: Greatest Hits · Foo Fighters

04 · Eurovision Song Contest Düsseldorf 2011 · Various Artists

05 · Let Them Talk · Hugh Laurie

06 · Now That's What I Call Music! 78 · Various Artists

07 · No More Idols · Chase & Status

08 · Glee: The Music Presents the Warblers · Glee Cast

09 · Last Night On Earth · Noah & the Whale

10 · The Fame Monster · Lady GaGa

Album pre-order's released tomorrow:

45. Kate Bush - Director's Cut

62. Caro Emerald - Deleted Scenes from the Cutting Room Floor (Deluxe Edition)

65. Friendly Fires - Pala

74. Danger Mouse & Daniele Luppi - Rome

Kate Bush to dethrone Adele? it is possible I suppose, I'd imagine she'd have strong physical sales too, I think Friendly Fires will be very front-loaded, and probably do something similar to what the Wombats did, not sure about the other two, but strong pre-orders so a top 10 placing could be possible

Moby also has an album out now that was released digitally today, it's at 59 and 91 atm

I'll do a full future singles/albums update tomorrow, I think this should be kept to this thread rather than the Itunes singles chart

I think Kate Bush might dethrone her for a week, but I assume Adele will be right back up there the week after.

lady gaga's album is released that week

When are albums usually made available to Pre-Order on iTunes? 'Born This Way' still isn't up yet.
I'd imagine it would be the week before, although some albums are up before that  a lot of this weeks releases didn't appear until late last week, so it will probably be there tomorrow

6. Pala - Friendly Fires

Doesn't bode well for a top 5 placing officially :( Even Fleet Foxes got to #2 on iTunes (as did Hugh Laurie)

Not sure whether Kate Bush can deny Adele a 16th week at #1, I guess we'll see. I think it could go either way. 19 will probably remain #3 behind Kate and 21.

Pre-orders in the Itunes album chart

Single EP's:

24. DJ Fresh - Louder (feat. Sian Evans) (Release Date: 3rd July)

63. Example - Changed The Way You Kissed Me (Release Date: 6th June)

129. Ed Sheeran - The A Team (Release Date: 12th June)

155. Alex Gaudino - What a Feeling (feat. Kelly Rowland) (Release Date: 29th May)

DJ Fresh doing really well, I think its being used in a Lucozade advert - if its this high already and not out for over a month , I think we could be looking at a future number 1 or at least a summer smash (it certainly sounds like one)

I'd imagine Example should also be number 1 on 6th June, its getting good radio support - there's nothing stopping him atm, unless something crawls out of the woodwork

I've never heard of Ed Sheeran before, although he was a lot higher last week on pre-orders - an indie act would be welcome in the top 40

I'd imagine Alex Gaudino will do something similar to I'm In Love or Commander

Albums:

57. Glee Cast - Glee The Music, Vol.6 (Release Date: 6th June)

67. Arctic Monkeys - Suck It And See (Release Date: 6th June)

193. Frank Turner - England Keep My Bones (Release Date: 6th June)

so looks like Arctics will be number 1 on that week if they are doing this well already, Glee are always far more of a digital albums act than a physical one - no sign of anything released next week though, even Gaga  I don't think this is entriely indicative though, and pre-orders get added at different times it seems

on this week's albums, Friendly Fires are currently at 2, Kate Bush at 6  (really flopping considering all the pre-orders, although I think that it will be stronger on physical sales), Danger Mouse at 15 and Caro Emerald at 21- so it looks like Adele will get a 16th week

Kate Bush is likely to sell more physicals. Not sure she'll be able to overtake Adele though.

I hope Example does get to #1 but I can see him stalling at #3 again :(

I can see Alex & Kelly doing a 'Happiness' and doing far better than anyone expects it will. It's getting loads of airplay and video play :o
