Carly's EP seems to be doing really well at the moment, currently #7 and was as high as #3 the other day :o This must be helping its sales hold up a fair bit, she still has an enormous lead on the songs feed so is there a possibility she could increase in sales again?! (Or at least get a third week over 100k anyway). This is really heading for some stellar sales if it doesn't slow down soon. Could it even challenge Gotye for YE #1?

Top 10 update;

1. Now That's What I Call Music! 81 - Various Artists

2. Now That's What I Call Running! - Various Artists

3. Born to Die - Lana Del Rey

4. Love Is a Four Letter Word (Deluxe Version) - Jason Mraz

5. Keep Calm & Relax - Various Artists

6. 21 - ADELE

7. Call Me Maybe - EP - Carly Rae Jepsen

8. Ultimate Clubland - Various Artists

9. In Case You Didn't Know - Olly Murs

10. Lonely Are the Brave - Maverick Sabre

Four compilations in the top 10 (incl. both of the top 2) :drama: Anyone know why Lana, Olly and Maverick are still so high? Have they had price reductions or something?

Lana hasn't, Maverick is £1 cheaper, Olly £2.

Thanks :D Lana may just be because of the new single I suppose, with sales as low as they are now?

She was also in the Live Lounge yesterday

Well, that explains that as well then :kink:

Pre-orders top 200:

19. Blunderbuss - Jack White

44. LIVING THINGS - Linkin Park

48. Let's Go (feat. Ne-Yo) - EP - Calvin Harris

55. Young - EP - Tulisa

57. R.I.P. (feat. Tinie Tempah) - EP - Rita Ora

108. Out of the Game - Rufus Wainwright

134. First of My Kind - EP - Miles Kane

136. Live My Life (feat. Justin Bieber) - EP - Far East Movement

141. The Power (feat. Dizzee Rascal) - EP - DJ Fresh

173. Out the Blue (Remixes) [feat. Alice Gold] - EP - Sub Focus

Jack White has the #1 album in the bag next week, hopefully with some decent sales after Adele topping it with 22k and Jason Mraz/Adele again likely to do similarly tomorrow.

Calvin, Tulisa and Rita all doing really well on pre-orders, Calvin is obviously released at midnight, really hope he can grab the #1 but I can see him stalling at #2 yet again. Brilliant to see DJ Fresh and Sub Focus showing up on pre-orders, hoping the former is another #1 and the latter at LEAST outpeaks the #38 of 'Rock It' (it's nowhere near as good but Sub Focus is long overdue a hit in his own right (i.e. besides 'Kickstarts')).

Regrettably I actually rather like 'Live My Life' now :drama:

Jack White is on Jools Holland show next week Tuesday and Friday

Rufus Wainwright has a new album out on Monday, with his performance on Graham Norton last night.

I say the top 2 albums is between them

I know it's early days but if Linkin Park's pre-order holds up well they'll surely have no problem making #1 against Cheryl Cole's second week. If "A Thousand Suns" did over 40k "Living Things" could be closer to 50 with a decent hit coming off it in "Burn It Down".

Not convinced Cheryl will even get to #1 in her first week, it's been a while since her last album and this is her first without XF promo. Depends on how the single does I guess. (If it's a dead week it could make it though). LP will definitely get #1 no problem the week after in any case.

Calvin's EP has gone straight to #1 :o Didn't expect that. Miles Kane #14, Ren Harvieu #21, Adam F #58.

What - no Adele? :P

Seriously though, Jack has got it sewn up - Rufus doesn't have the relatively high profile of White.

Either way, it should at least accelerate FFTL towards the 1m mark.

ATM I estimate it is selling no more than 400-450/wk, on somewhere around 980-985k.

The Wanted have shot in at #16 on the album chart with preorders for Chasing The Sun

Out 20th May

Ooh, it is getting a proper release here - I'm really, really hoping they've changed their minds and will release this as their second proper single in the USA (Heart Vacancy will bomb horribly whereas I could see Chasing The Sun being another big international hit - hoping for a third #1 here and I think it could manage it! One of their best IMO).

Agree with all of this. As much as i love Heart Vacancy too, they need to release this in the US to keep up momentum.

Very little in the way of interesting new releases this week despite the fact six of the top 10 were released yesterday (all but #2 and 4-6 below).

Pre-orders in the top 100:

14. Chasing the Sun - EP - The Wanted

41. Young - EP - Tulisa

51. R.I.P. (feat. Tinie Tempah) - EP - Rita Ora

56. Contrast - Conor Maynard

69. LIVING THINGS - Linkin Park

98. Feel the Love (feat. John Newman) [Remixes] - EP - Rudimental

114. Oliver Twist (Remixes) - EP - D'Banj

137. Drop Dead Gorgeous - EP - NVS

154. The Power (feat. Dizzee Rascal) - EP - DJ Fresh

155. Who Am I - EP - Starboy Nathan

165. Glee: The Music - The Graduation Album - Glee Cast

176. Out the Blue (Remixes) [feat. Alice Gold] - EP - Sub Focus

182. When She Was Mine - EP - Lawson

187. Sparks - EP - Cover Drive

Bloody hell, there's tons of them - no doubt helped by the piss poor actual album sales I suppose. Rudimental, NVS (who?), Nathan and Lawson weren't exactly potential hits in my mind, although the latter I've heard a few times on Capital - they're just another boyband, jumping on the bandwagon a bit too late. Thrilled to see D'banj so high though, hope it can be a hit :D Cover Drive are pretty low, looking at a bit of a flop? Far*East Movement also looking to underperform a bit looking at how low they are. DJ Fresh seems low at the moment too but there's ages until his release so I'm not too worried about that. The Wanted are really high at the moment but they're obviously unlikely to maintain being that high.

If Tulisa and Rita released same week, it could have been a fight to the death for #1 (although it still could be with T's BGT performance).

Although saying that, Carly could well throw yet more spanners in the works :drama:

Can't see Cover Drive flopping, the Capital support should be enough to give it a week in the top five, especially following from a #1 hit. I remember their pre-order being deleted at some point, to change the release date.

Also, where on earth did "Feel the Love" and "Drop Dead Gorgeous" come from?
