 1. What Did You Expect From The Vaccines? - The Vaccines

 2. Torches - Foster the People

:o :cheer:

An update on the pre-orders

EP's

139. Antidote (Remixes) - Swedish House Mafia & Knife Party

148. Hot Right Now (feat. Rita Ora) - DJ Fresh

173. Alone Again (feat. Jump Smokers) - Alyssa Reid

Albums

46. Born to Die - Lana Del Rey

96. Given to the Wild - The Maccabees (out tomorrow!)

124. Home Again - Michael Kiwanuka

167. Our Version of Events - Emeli Sandé

Kiwanuka's album was in the top 50 earlier tpday (or it might have been yesterday, ICR) :(

Really hope to see Given To The Wild in the top 10 this week, it won't need to sell too much. 'Pelican' made #87 on the singles chart which isn't awful.

Foster The People's album to re-peak this week as well? Brilliant to see it #2 on iTunes :D Pumped Up Kicks should be back in the top 40 comfortably too.

Why is Foster The People suddenly at #2? Also does anybody know its previous iTunes Peak?

Vaccines still no. 1 on my feed.

01 The Vaccines

02 Foster the People

03 Kasabian

04 The Maccabees

Pleasing :D

Foo Fighters also at 8 with "Wasting Light" and 16 with "Greatest Hits", less than four quid for the latter is obscenely good value.

That advert on TV is doing the world of good. "4 great albums for under £4", they're now the top 3 and #8! :D

And #6 & 7 are both compilations!

And Adele is still at #5 :P

Full top 10 update:

1. What Did You Expect from The Vaccines? - The Vaccines

2. Torches - Foster the People

3. Velociraptor! - Kasabian

4. Given to the Wild - The Maccabees

5. 21 - ADELE

6. The Workout Mix 2012 - Various Artists

7. Running Trax Gold - Ministry of Sound - Various Artists

8. Wasting Light - Foo Fighters

9. Now That's What I Call Music! 80 - Various Artists

10. 4 - Beyoncé

Great to see The Maccabees at #4 only being stopped from #1 by cheap albums, iTunes isn't a great indication but that definitely bodes well for it to be their first top 10 album.

Will be interesting to see where The Vaccines, Foster The People, Kasabian and Foo Fighters end up officially this week. I can see Foster The People's album re-peaking and The Vaccines could get the belated third week top 15 they just missed out on last week?

 3. Given to the Wild - The Maccabees [also #40]

Redlight's "Get Out My Head" is #173 on pre-orders

That's incredible. I should really check this album out, as i'm a massive fan of PUK and CIWUW.

Did you hear Helena Beat? Its my favourite off the album. Call it What you Want got a little annoying for me in time

The Foos shouldn't be a 'Greatest Hits' band, all their albums are great. Also, the Skin and Bones live album is mesmerisingly good and surprisingly the Foos play ALL their best songs not a few classics and some new album tracks.

I agree, but it makes them more accessible to people who then may at a later date invest in their studio albums. I only had two of theirs when I got their GH and without it I may not have discovered songs like "M.I.A." and "Come Back".

The Vaccines still at #2 but the other cheap albums have fallen away now (Foster The People down to #7, Kasabian down to #9 and Foo Fighters all the way down to #51 but their GH is at #19). I really hope The Vaccines still hold onto the official top 5 and Foster The People top 10 despite this :(

3. 21 - ADELE

4. Doo-Wops & Hooligans - Bruno Mars

7. Torches - Foster the People

8. Bangarang - Skrillex

9. Velociraptor! - Kasabian

10. Now That's What I Call Music! 80 - Various Artists

Surprised to see The Maccabees still at #1, maybe there's a small chance they could hang on officially? Hopefully we'll get some sales info with the mids tomorrow (although if they've had to economise two entire updates per week the sales-giving situation doesn't look grand).

Vaccines #1 now, only £3.95 amazing value for an album.

Adele still #3 with 21.

Beyonce at #4 with '4'. (Love On Top being top 10 on iTunes helping a lot, and only £4.99)

The campaign for The Vaccines has been really amazing. It's just a pity they released in 2011.

It'll go past platinum soon, if they pick the right lead single for album 2 this time next year it could do VERY well. They're such a big festival draw, it's nice to see them manage to get the sustained success that White Lies deserved.
