OMFG ABEL SINGING IN FRENCH.

LOVE.

ANYONE singing in French = squee. Possibly the year's best new western artist doing so = MOTHERF***ING SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. Downloading and iPoding this STAT.

On my second listen now. SO GOOD.

Lana Del WHO?!

Aye. Kay. Arrr.
Downloading now

After 6th listen (which was 2nd in headphones - so much better) the second half finally clicked. <3

RANKINGS TIME HURRA

1. Outside

2. Initiation

3. XO / The Host (the XO part is incredible, The Host lets it down a little bit)

4. Same Old Song

5. Montreal

6. Next

7. The Fall

8. D.D.

9. Echoes of Silence

Top 3 is clear whereas the rest is pretty much more or less interchangeable.

Okay, Abel singing in French may be the best thing I've heard all year. I want all the mixtapes reissued in French. And all following releases must be in French.
The way he sings D.D. is so MJ. Incredible.
For an artist that doesn't commercially release music, play live or have a record deal he IS.
D.D  I think I'm a bit dead.

Faves so far:

XO

Montreal

Same Old Song

Initiation

Man, this is so good.

Dirty Diana is ridiculous. Also hearing a bit of MJ on Montreal as well...something about the melody.

Listened through all the way twice now and it's the best of the 3 mixtapes for me!

HoB > EoS > Thursday

even though Thursday is my most played of all.

Next

Outside

D.D.

Montreal

Initiation

The Fall

XO / The Host

Echoes of Silence

Same Old Song

I'd say 7/10, amazing album, heard only twice.

HoB > EoS > Thursday

even though Thursday is my most played of all.

I agree. Although I think I like the Birds Pt1 more than anything on Echoes of Silence.

EoS has some really interesting production...I think that's why I love Same Old Song so much.
