What will happen is there will be 10 rounds, the first being 1990, then 1991 etc. up to round 10 which will be 1999. The top 4 from each round will go straight to the final, and 5th to 7th placed will go in a "wildcard" round. The top ten songs from the "wildcard" round will be put into the final round to make a top 50 of the decade. After the final the next rate will be 00s number 2s How you rate the songs; exactly the same as last time, you do not rate every song that hit number two, you just rate your ten favourites and your least favourite. You give +15 points to your favourite song, and the rest are as follows; This is to hopefully stop ties from happening inside the top 3. +15 Favourite Song +12 2nd Favourite Song +10 3rd Favourite Song +08 4th Favourite +06 5th Favourite +05 6th Favourite +04 7th Favourite +03 8th Favourite +02 9th Favourite +01 10th Favourite -02 Least Favourite, or Most Hated depending on what way you look at it These are the songs you need to rate from. You have 2 days for every round to rate. This means the deadline is Monday morning and hopefully round 2 (1991) will be up by then. Ultimate 90s Number Twos Rate 1990 1. Technotronic feat. April 2, 201114 yr Author You could say BTDYK and GIITH are classics, but neither get as much airplay on retro stations than LS

April 2, 201114 yr +15 Deee-Lite - Groove Is In The Heart +12 The B-52's - Love Shack (stupid misplaced apostrophe will always annoy me) +10 The Adventures Of Stevie V - Dirty Cash +8 Madonna - Justify My Love +6 Kylie Minogue - Better The Devil You Know Not entirely sure I've heard the next two but they seem to ring a bell from the lyrics... +5 Technotronic feat. Ya Kid K - Get Up (Before The Night Is Over) +4 DNA feat. Suzanne Vega - Tom's Diner Definitely haven't heard these three, cue complaints about me voting for songs I haven't heard :P +3 Madonna - Hanky Panky +2 Status Quo - The Anniversary Waltz Part 1 +1 Londonbeat - I've Been Thinking About You (this one was picked at random as I had no idea who to give 1 :P) -2 Luciano Pavarotti - Nessun Dorma (not my cup of tea I'm afraid) How random that a BRITs 1990 EP got to #2  And there were #2s called both 'Black Velvet' and 'Blue Velvet' in the same year  Were those songs unrelated? April 2, 201114 yr How random that a BRITs 1990 EP got to #2  how is that random or unexpected?
April 2, 201114 yr how is that random or unexpected? Well, I didn't know it existed for one. It just strikes me as slightly odd. 'The BRITs 1990' was the second #2 hit for Various Artists after 'All Star Hit Parade' in 1956 :D They finally got a #1 with 'Perfect Day' in 1997 but they have no other top 10 hits. Edited April 2, 201114 yr by Bray
April 2, 201114 yr But it wouldn't be odd if it got to number 4 or number 7? I don't get your point, I'm afraid.
April 2, 201114 yr But it wouldn't be odd if it got to number 4 or number 7? I don't get your point, I'm afraid. It would be less odd.

April 2, 201114 yr Out of interest are you voting for this based on one particular performance or the whole ceremony in general? I'm giving it 10 points based on the songs on the EP. It's a good set of songs :) I don't actually own the EP, nor have I watched that particular ceremony, unfortunately.

April 2, 201114 yr The reason The Brits 1990 did so well was because it was genius. Oh, so it was a medley, not an EP - I probably could have looked that up  That makes a bit more sense
