December 9, 201113 yr With a début at #1 in the US, Live at the Royal Albert Hall makes Adele the first artist in Neilsen SoundScan history to have the year's #1 single, album, and music DVD. Assuming neither of them get overtaken; although with 96,000 copies sold in a week (the highest tally in 4 years) for Live at..., I don't see anyone troubling her on any of the charts! :D
December 17, 201113 yr Adele's 21 is now 14x Platinum, according to the BPI. It now puts it joint most certified album, along with Oasis' (What's the Story) Morning Glory! :D
December 17, 201113 yr Adele's 21 is now 14x Platinum, according to the BPI. It now puts it joint most certified album, along with Oasis' (What's the Story) Morning Glory! :D Another record coming then, I'm sure she'll reach 15x platinum :D
December 17, 201113 yr Another record coming then, I'm sure she'll reach 15x platinum :D Not for a while, I can't imagine many shops will overstock in the new year so it'll only be when she hits about 4.4 million.
December 28, 201113 yr Adele has the best-selling single of 2011 worldwide (inevitable), with 'Rolling in the Deep' selling/collecting 9,928,000 copies/points. It's an unofficial chart, but I think it combines chartings from charts that uses airplay points too, I think. 'Someone Like You' is at #7 with 6,502,000 copies/points, with 'SFTTR' at #29 on a total of 3,141,000.
December 28, 201113 yr Is this from mediatraffic.de? If so, that does incorporate sales and airplay on a weighted scale I think. I had a feeling LMFAO might have pipped her worldwide. Glad to be wrong though. So close to 10 million points :P Edited December 28, 201113 yr by Coldbray
December 28, 201113 yr '21' has just scored its highest sales week to date in the USA :o Up 44% week-on-week to 399,000 - higher than its opening sale (and previous peak) of 352k! Still at #2 though as Bublé remains unstoppable, but it should be back at #1 once again next week :D
January 13, 201213 yr Has this album really only JUST been released in Portugal? acharts.us only has 4 weeks in its chart run (peak of #5 so far). Added Portugal to the list in any case. I hope it reaches #1 in Spain and Portugal soon so it has a full house of #1s on acharts.us (they don't have some of the charts on the list in this thread) :P Also changed the Russian and Japanese peaks to 6 and 25 respectively per Wikipedia. I'll have a look through this whole list to check for any further inaccuracies tomorrow. Or I might forget to. We'll see. '21' is currently in the top 2 in every country on acharts.us (incl. the World Albums Chart) except Poland, Spain and Portugal (#4, #4 and #10 respectively) :o It's #1 in all of the rest except Netherlands, France, Italy, Mexico and Sweden. January 20, 201213 yr Gone through all the singles listings and updated some peaks + added some new charts + updated certification/sales info. Significantly both 'Rolling In The Deep' and 'Someone Like You' have gone to #1 for the first time the last two weeks :D The newly added charts have also given her a few 'new' number ones on the list. I'll check for updates etc. for the album itself tomorrow. Also specified where charts are based on airplay only + that the South Korea chart RITD reached #1 in was just its international chart. I don't know how up-to-date the US/UK/worldwide sales figures for her singles are so I've just left them as they are for now. I've also moved Rumour Has It so it appears as the fourth single if that's alright. Edited January 20, 201213 yr by Bré
January 21, 201213 yr Updated positions and certifications for '21' and 'Live At The Royal Albert Hall'. Also added precautional sales based on certifications for the latter but Wikipedia isn't helping with the former as it doesn't give the sales/shipments barriers for certifications in all the countries like it does with her singles and the DVD, so I've just left the sales list as it was for '21'.
February 18, 201213 yr US Sales 21 – 6,622,709 19 – 1,859,649 Rolling in the Deep – 6,246,191 Someone Like You – 4,272,728 Set Fire to the Rain – 2,545,095 Chasing Pavements – 1,290,848 Make You Feel My Love – 818,248 Rumour Has it – 754,071
February 20, 201213 yr At some stage this week mor ethan likely friday 21 will pass its 4 millionth uK sale which is bloody brilliant, for the remiander of the year we will be counting down to its 5 millionth sales which would be great if she could pull it of by end of the year.
February 21, 201213 yr The excellent news just never seems to stop with this album! '21' has leapt to #4 in Japan this week! (It's first week in the top 10) :cheer: They've finally seen the light and got on board! Also, it has gone 6x platinum now in Germany. Source: http://atrl.net/forums/showthread.php?t=131534&page=56 - numerous posts in this thread. This forum is usually very reliable and I would definately recommend it if looking for specific sales from different countries. The Japanese peak has also been updated on wikipedia. Also on wikipedia, it says that '21' has now hit #1 in Argentina, #2 in Hungary and #3 in Portugal. Just saying so that someone could update the OP? Thank you. Edited February 21, 201213 yr by Finy

Woo for Argentina and Japan finally completing the top 10 list for '21' (the former even joining the #1 list) and new peaks in Hungary/Portugal :cheer: It's only missed #1 in five of the charts listed on acharts/Wikipedia now. Hopefully it'll get there one day in Spain/Hungary/Portugal/Russia :P Japan is unbelievably Japanese artist-centric so I'm not expecting it to go any higher than #4 there, just very happy it's finally got a better peak than #20
February 23, 201213 yr I want 21 to go #1 in Spain, Portugal, Japan and Russia so it's been #1 everywhere now that Hungary has also joined the #1 list!
