I wish they would have done some sort of a story line with the video, they needed something to break up the dance bits, if they had story line or even different scenes outside of the club scene, it would have at least made it a little more interesting to watch, but as people have said it doesnt go anywhere they just dance with different people and thats it. I want to see another Stronger, Ugly, Too Lost In You type vid from them, something with substance and meaning.

The interview with the ladies

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/intervie...yone-video.html

Some fun moments in there, like... Heidi: "Push the Button was the last song recorded for the album". Amelle: "Oh yeah!" Oh yeah, Amelle, you do know hell a lot about 'Taller' recording process!

They concentrated on the vocals on the album which is a big plus for me. Overall very pleasant interview, good for DS and SB!

Somehow I always love watching their interviews (I meant this serious without sarcasm). Although I had to laugh when Amelle said ''we like to experience with different sounds''. Oh yeah Amelle, then why come up with generic again??

Amelle said they had a jazzy version of Freedom as well, why not use that one?? :(

This really is quite average so far isn't it? The song sounds like a Sweet 7 leftover, which itself was a fake, plastic copy of a sound done much more successfully by other artists, and the video is just a bit nothingy. I'm disappointed so far - they're capable of much better.
Looking forward to the video being uploaded to VEVO tomorrow, unless they managed to mess it up like the Sats :drama: I think the video will get better with more viewing and I still think the song is incredible :cheer:
I think the video will get better with more viewing

Basically, brainwashing yourself until you like it? :P

I don't see how the video would get better with more viewings - it's not like there's a great load of details in it.

Edit: supposedly this has been pushed back another week to the 25th?!

I don't agree that this 'sounds like a Sweet 7 leftover' because that would imply that it's worse than most of that album when clearly it's actually a hell of an improvement but yeah there's no hype. Apparently the release date has been put back even further now too. Not sure when it is.

To think a few months ago this whole campaign was looking great, with a BGT slot! :o And now it's all messed up before it begins...

And I have to agree with Jark, it doesn't sound like a Sweet 7 leftover because it's better than a good chunk of that album. That said, I went a bit too crazy at first - it's not their 'best single in ages' by any means, it is great but thinking about it, I prefer About A Girl, Wear My Kiss and Get Sexy.

I wish they'd put the video on VEVO :???:

Well not a 'leftover' then, a track which would fit very well into that album. (Picky so-and-so.)

I swear this was meant to be going on Vevo today? Or have they even managed to stuff that up too...?
Let's wait to a great second single to not kill the album with this -_-

Or maybe they are re-editing the video in a rush when even most of the hardcore fans are slagging it! [/wishfulthinking]

I bloody love the song, but what have they done with promoting it. THE MESS.

The video's getting fairly positive feedback on Digital Spy, in a poll against the Saturdays' new video - the Sugababes lead 15-14 which I was quite surprised about, so maybe it's better than I thought. I should know that reading Popjustice always seems to be largely negative about the Babes so I feel more positive now.

But, if they do push back the release till the 25th, that seems too far away but let's see.

The main thing is the song is incredible, definitely in my top 5 of the year :D

That video is an atrocity. Which is a shame because it's not a bad track and I think a good video could have done it a world of good really. I have no idea who thought a song that talks of 'liberating yourself' needed a club video. This is all just getting a bit embarrassing now.

'Freedom' is now on VEVO!! And I'm liking the video a lot more in full HD :D

Blocked in my country. GREAT. Hopefully it'll be the same as with the Behind the Scenes video, when it was blocked outside the UK for a few hours too.
