Hey Ghosty - ooh Britney's album as your favourite of the week, glad it's grown on you! My comments;

She was up against the might of Within Temptation last week, but I had to give FF at least one week as my album choice as it is really good, my second favourite album of hers.

 

01 - Glad you like it! :D . I hope it'll do well, but I wasn't expecting much at all this time round, so to see it higher up the predictions and odds has surprised me.

04 - It is a delightful track. I'm really looking forward to getting the album.

06 - Definitely, I'm loving it even more now, and I can see this winning. I think it's between Norway, Estonia and the UK now. Azerbaijan, Sweden and Russia have an outside chance. France I think is just too specialist.

11 - The Irish sound is baffling, but then Coral's NF song last year sounded quite Celtic too, so maybe it's a popular sound in Spain? :lol: . I absolutely love this, really upbeat and happy!

42 - I rather like it, but it does sound similar to Vanbot. Hopefully one won't steal votes from the other.

54 - :rofl: Oh, you know you love it! :kink: . It's a Belgian track, someone posted it on Twitter. It should have been the Belgian Eurovision entry tbh :heehee: .

4. After repeated listens yesterday, there's about 4 standouts but I don't remember the rest from memory.

6. I go back and forth about the chances for Haba Haba, I don't really see it contending for the win sometimes and others I think it might. I'll predict 10th for it to be safe :lol: I'm still hoping for the UK personally, but I wouldn't write off France - Lordi technically should have been too specialist but look what happened, sometimes people just vote for anything if they're suitably impressed.

11. True, it's regrowing on me a lot now actually too.

42. I don't think they sound that similar, but Vanbot will definitely do better, it's got less potential to be annoying :lol:

04 - Ahh well, it must be quite hard with a foreign language release. I've ordered it now so I'll wait and see what I think of it, hopefully I'll love it.

06 - But Lordi were amazing, the French guy is dull beyond belief. It's almost coma inducing :lol: . If that wins, I'll be mightily annoyed, but at least Paris is only a quick train journey away next year :kink: .

42 - True, and she/they have got quite a bit of hype around them recently. I wouldn't rule out a Vanbot victory.

54 - :( . I don't mind With Love Baby, the women are pretty competent singers, but some of the male vocals are dire. I can't remember who's bottom of my pile, Macedonia maybe?

I ordered Linda Pritchard, Eric Saade's Popular single, Sanna Nielsen's 11-22, Molly Sanden's album (Based on the fact I've now heard at least 4 great songs from it) and on a whim, the debut album from Anna Maria Espinosa. I received all but Linda and Sanna today. I've almost finished listening to Sara Varga's... I'm absolutely loving it :wub: .

4. Wow, a fair bit then! There's no point only ordering one thing because of the postage cost, you might as well get a bulk order. Glad you like Sara's album, I'm listening to it right now actually - I still don't think it's incredible but it keeps growing with each listen definitely. It's not like Caroline Af Ugglas' album where I really had no motivation to ever listen to it again after the first listen.

54. I'd be very annoyed if Slovakia got nul points, no way does it deserve such a drubbing! Belgium and Malta maybe, I just can't see who would vote for the Maltese entry at all, there are far better tracks from the genre in the contest. Belgium at least is unique (even if I do hate it). I can't see San Marino qualifying but I don't see it getting nul - I secretly wanted them to have an amazing entry - imagine them hosting it :lol:

04 - Sara has a very likeable voice which helps, Caroline's voice is rather harsh sounding I found so I've never given her album a listen. I'm listening to the Oh Land album at the moment, not as good as I hoped it would be. There are about 3 songs so far that I liked a lot, Sun Of A Gun, White Nights and We Turn It Up. Some of the tracks are far more experimental than I expected them to be.

4. True, although I do love Caroline's voice - but her album lacked melodies. Yeah, Oh Land's album was pleasant but nothing more for me. I like Sun Of A Gun and Voodoo a lot and I honestly can't recall anything else about it :(

54. I guess you're right, I'd like it to scrape into the final somehow but I suppose it's almost impossible :lol: Haha, yes! Oh dear, I imagine it would be a very low key/low budget affair, although it would certainly be interesting and perhaps more classy than usual.
