Have any other songs from BGT had an effect on the iTunes chart?

Apart from Fast Car

Not really, Céline Dion - My Heart Will Go On is back in the top 150 but that's it aside from the various versions of Fast Car AFAICT.

Oh dear god Rangers have released a single. Hopefully it doesn't contain anything naughty otherwise another European body might stick their oar in

It's not Rangers, it's Sammy King.

The song is a Rangers Football Club song, that's bad enough. I wouldn't be surprised if this went to number one in the hate chart like that other footy song did last year

Shush, that wasn't even top 50. Slightly different.

Also, I said it didn't look *likely* to be a hit, not it *won't* be a hit.

Same basic thing really :kink:

So do you prefer Celtic then? :P

Are you sure about that? It was originally by Roy Orbison

I hope it does. I'm going to go against all my instincts and be 100% sure that I don't have to listen to it to know that it is a big stinking pile of turd.

Well, yes, I suppose, but I don't really like either of them tbh.

You can't tell it's going to do the same as BTW. Give it a bit of time FFS. Are people seriously going to continue doing this for EVERY release of this nature?

This tbh. I think everybody knows I'm not Gaga's biggest fan (I'm due another rant about her in a few days), but this is so ridiculous. I did expect it to do a bit better, but at the same time, didn't Telephone enter the chart at #30 and got to #1 4 months later. And Telephone was moderately hyped too.

hope gone by nelly and kelly can continue to climb, great sequel of a great song :)

This. I love it! :)

I really want 'Gone' to go Top 40 at least! :( but by the looks of things it wont even reach Top 75.

Where is Kelly Rowland's ever delayed album coming out  last time I heard they couldn't come up with a title for the album, then everything just vanished :(

What charity is the song raising for?

A charity called Erskine which provides care for ex-servicemen and women.

I don't know tbh. The whole situation is so confusing. I think Motivation (which is great) is now going to be on the album? That song will flop in the UK though, and not just because of Lil Wayne.

Maybe Kelly Rowland will become the new Dr. Dre!

Yeah, I agree, Motivation won't work as a single in the UK IMO :( she needs dance-y, Guetta-material and right promo. I've been waiting on her album since 2009 and I thought we were getting it after 'Commander's success but I guess its still a long wait :drama:

Yeah, and there was this song called Rose-Coloured Specs or something like that which I heard on the radio like a year ago, which was quite good. Haven't heard it since though. I thought it was going to be a single. :(

She's got her new songs with Nelly and Alex Gaudino out too, which will do better in the UK than Motivation, although she's not the lead artist in either of them (and I've only heard both once each on the radio so far). They might both make the album too.

Her album won't be as bad as Dr. Dre's though.

The next album from Dr. Dre, The Detox, probably won't hit the street until the end of 2004, his label said. But Scott Storch, a co-producer working on the disc, insists it will be well worth the wait.

Now it's 2011, and we're STILL waiting. Seriously, I'm genuinely interested if anybody has ever announced an album and then taken so long to release it like this? Of course, Kelly Rowland looks like she could take longer than this the way things are going!

I reckon they'll just end up shelfing it - all hype will be lost by release and 'Commander' was the only real international promotion; something people will forget by summer. I am glad to see her Nelly collaboration doing well though, I wish her all the success here in the UK.

As for Jessie J, she's certainly climbing up the chart quicker than I expected; especially with the single release at the end of May. Really hope she can get another top 5 with 'Nobody's Perfect', it's one of the best songs of the album and the single mix from the video sounds insane.

Although I don't think it'll make much impact on the top 20, I'm glad to see Bruno Mars climbing into the top 40 with 'The Lazy Song', let's just hope Chipmunk's 'In the Air' can do a lot of climbing by Sunday.

Rose-Coloured Glasses  :kink:

I just hope they don't end up shelfing this project. With all her collaborations going on, if one becomes a success like 'WLTO' she should capitalize on that. ^_^
