April 18, 201114 yr what? :o I think it was great for singles and albums Probably my favourite ever year for music overall. I was retrospectively compiling my end of year top 40's for 1997, 1998, 1999 and 2000 last week and 1998 was by far the hardest to do as there were about 75 songs I'd have liked to have included. The quality of these #2's isn't overly reflective of the year imo, a lot of the #1's and the songs that charted lower/not at all seemed to be of a higher quality than this lot overall.
