July 13, 201113 yr Oh My this looks incredible! Seems they have stepped up the budget as the bridge collapse looks pretty amazing so far!
August 9, 201113 yr Final Destination 5 was just great to see..One thing for sure is, you will know it when you see the movie in August. Lastly, the ending of the whole movie. The ending that made me gasp and left my jaw dropped open for the rest of the movie. It is a pity that many people know it already and spoiled it for everyone, because thy will not be as surprised as everybody on the screening when we reached the ending of the movie.. a great movie to watch...

What 'rest of the movie'? It's over  Nice to see there's a bit of a story to this and not just killing everyone of one-by-one without any mystery or story.
August 15, 201113 yr Just watched this online, a major improvement on the last one but still has nothing on the original three imo. Probably some of the goriest deaths yet too The laserscene surgery, acupuncture and gymnastic deaths were the worst - I think the gymnast death was worse because it's the most believable, made me cringe SO much! I also LOVED the twist at the end, I didn't see it coming at all! Although I was hoping at least one of them would survive, I hope when they DO make a proper final one, they actually find a way of cheating death :(.
August 15, 201113 yr It was okay, it is a camrip though but I found it decent enough :P I'll send it to you now!
August 15, 201113 yr Going to watch this tonight then! I've heard mixed things about it. Some say the franchise is boring and dull now, while other reviewes have said it's the best one since the original and it's found a way to re-invent the franchise. We shall see!
August 15, 201113 yr It has slightly found a way to re-invent it, but without giving too much away it doesn't really use it to it's full potential. You'll enjoy it though, it's much better than the last one and the death scenes are some of the most inventive!
August 15, 201113 yr It has a long way to go to top the man having his head ripped apart by the car fan from #3.
August 16, 201113 yr Just watched this online, a major improvement on the last one but still has nothing on the original three imo. As a fan of the franchise I did not see that twist at all. Pretty genius if I must say! I know what you mean about finding a way to properly cheat death. I guess the way Tony Todd said the system could be cheated is still plausible. As the guy the black guy killed was going to die anyway, and perhaps if you kill someone that was already meant to die it doesn't work (ala the main guy and Peter). Still, I do wish there was a bit of continuity and familiarity with the characters. What made the 2nd Final Destination so good was Clear Rivers' experience from the 2nd film. Every character out of the first 5 films is dead. At least one character needs to survive from time to time! Still, much improved from the 4th film.
August 16, 201113 yr I've always wondered though isn't the girl and the police officer from the 2nd film still alive?! They never really confirmed anything about them two, whereas for all the other films they die at the very end of them. Unless I missed something of course.
August 16, 201113 yr As far as I can remember, The police officer and the girl died from a wood chipper accident (from what I read). It was shown in a newspaper on the bonus content 'Choose Their Fate' on FD3.
August 16, 201113 yr Oh right! :( My favourites always die though ... the teacher from the first one, Clear Rivers from the second, the two bimbos from the third and Olivia from the last one - she was amazing!. I just want some people to survive so we have some sort of continuation, in a proper final film I think there should be a happy ending (maybe even make it so characters return from the following movie and get involved in another accident etc.) Edited August 16, 201113 yr by Jack
August 16, 201113 yr That's the problem with the franchise I think. In the first two there was a bit of mythology and some real character development. In the latest one they've tried to mirror the 1st storyline again, and do some character development. It's just a shame the acting is so bad at times. It's definitely a step in the right direction though. I want to see some more mythology behind everything. Like why do these people have premonitions? They hinted slightly in the 5th film about something, and I'd like to see them touch on that. Obviously the ending, gives such a great scope for everything now and they could go a lot of places with that. Obviously they're going to have to use Tony Todd a lot though.
October 4, 201311 yr I think this is my fave film in the franchise!! Apparently the nest one is out in time for Halloween next year :D
