#7 Tracy Chapman Fast Car

I dont even know, I love the song but want it to go away soon.. It has had its time in the chart and is blocking new songs, like Jessie getting into the top 10. I dont want it ruined for me either, like MYFML has been, despite being one of my favourite songs of all time at one point. Fast Car is another one that used to be in my top 10 songs of all time, and I dont want it overplayed, as its beautiful.

Because it's a really good song?

There are plenty of 'really good songs' that aren't even top 1,000.

And? The point was that that song in particular was being bought because it's a really good song. Those other songs, whilst they may be really good, most likely haven't been heard by the masses, therefore people aren't aware enough to buy them. "Fast Car" on the other hand has.

CLIMBERS TO WATCH..

She's fairly climbing up :o

It was heard by the masses over 2 weeks ago. It's a bit strange it's reclimbing now.

The fact that it's Top 10 on iTunes means that it's consistently aware to the masses. All they have to do is listen to it before they decide to buy it.

Fast Car is getting more airplay now, surely? With it being in the top 10 and everything.

Fantastic to see J-Lo and David Guetta climbing!!! :D I'm pretty confident J-Lo will debut top 75 this week. :)

Gettin' Over You only got to #1 on iTunes on the Thursday, and got official #1.

it was Wednesday I think, and it was very narrowly, I don't think any song has got official number 1 when climbing to Itunes number 1 after Wednesday

I think number 1 isn't out of the question, but it needs to shoot up the charts

Gettin' Over You also had a little bit of an advantage, since the album mix (a version which was just Chris Willis on the vocals and instrumental) was top 20 on iTunes at the beginning of the week, and the single remix of Gettin' Over You was released on Sunday, not Monday like this time.

Also, Gettin' Over You had one of the easiest weeks of the year, having to sell just under 50,000 to get #1. I think this week it'll be 60,000 to 70,000 it needs to sell.

I can imagine more of a Club Can't Handle Me run for Where Them Girls At (i.e. 5-2-1).

^So... when are the Saturdays released? :P

Seriously though, can LMFAO drop soon. I like the song, but I'm getting tired of it at the top. Anything will do, Guetta, Blue, Bruno, Chris Brown. Just not another week of LMFAO. This is the problem with long-running number 1s.

Where Them Girls At up to #4! :o Can't believe hoe quick it's selling!

And David Guetta has 2 songs top 5 on iTunes now! :o

Oh, also, I just realized that the version on iTunes is the version that I thought was the "beta" version. Yes, the version on iTunes does sound the same as Sexy Chick, and the original version sounded more different to it. I heard the proper version first, but I assumed I heard them the other way around.

Great to see so many climbers on the chart so early in the week, from the amazing Guetta's 'Where Them Girls At?' to Adele 'Set Fire to the Rain' and 'Turning Tables' and then the likes of J-Lopez, Jessie J, Pitbull, Tracy Chapman and Alexandra Stan are all doing great too. Potentially a lot of movement in the top 40 come Sunday (hopefully LMFAO will get bunked off number-one).

Wow, 'Where Them Girls At' clearly selling massively at the moment. There seemed to be quite a big gap between #5 (Snoop Dogg) and #6 (Katy Perry) earlier on. Yet this has managed to surpass this gap with ease.

Could this end up #1 after all? :o

Yes, but hopefully not this week or I'll be annoyed for obvious reasons. I think it'll climb on the second week if it doesn't start falling like GaGa and Bey's new releases, this will be good as LMFAO will get their fourth week and Bruno won't get his fourth number one :D

It would be great if the Sats hurried up and released when Flo is at the top :kink:
