Posted May 4, 201114 yr THE songwriter behind the first ever original song performed on Glee wants to see Jessie J land a guest slot. Savan Kotecha, who coached the contestants on last year’s X Factor, told me: “I would love to see Jessie J on Glee doing a song. “I’m amazed at how fresh they managed to keep the show. “The producer Ryan Murphy is phenomenal at putting through new tracks as well as old.” On Glee this week, Savan’s track Loser Like Me made history as it wasn’t a cover version. He explained how the partnership came about: “My songwriting partner Max Martin got a call asking if we would be interested - I jumped at the chance as I was a total Gleek already. “I was a choir boy at school - a total nerd - all I focused on was music, so I can relate to it. “Our goal was to the celebrate individuality as that’s what the song and the show’s message is. “In a very clever way the show and the song have an anti-bullying message - after all, the nerds in high school always end up running the world. “It’s amazing because Glee is a real middle America show yet it has sneaked in brave issues like homosexuality, bullying, and all kind of relationship issues.” Texas talent Savan has been behind hits like Usher’s DJ Got Us Fallin’ In Love, JLS’ No 1 The Club Is Alive and Britney’s If You Seek Amy. He added: “It was intimidating writing for a show that’s so driven by great covers but Max Martin was our secret weapon because so many of his songs have been used on Glee already. “We knew we had the sound down. “I don’t think you will ever change Glee as it’s built on covers, but I think it will introduce more original songs as time goes on - there’s room for it.” Loser Like Me is available to download from http://bit.ly/Loserlikeme and also features on Glee Volume 5, which is on sale now.I think I may just DIE a little! Jessie J's songs are very Glee. (As in the message behind them and stuff, particularly 'Who You Are')! I can definitely see this working. If she landed a cameo role EVEN BETTER
May 6, 201114 yr Now that she's starting to a get a little bit of success over there, I can definitely see them picking up a single or even an album track (ala Adele) to perform. I think an appearance would be unlikely.
