Well, yes, a non fan CAN easily avoid it. The LA Reid smitten thing and the movie offer certainely weren't on the front pages, maybe it was some three line article in the last pages of the Sun. I'm a fan and I didn't even know about those two, and well, it's no big deal really... If I open Closer or the Daily Mail of today, I'll find dozens of little stories like that about dozens of popstars. It's usually the newspapers making up stories to fill the pages, Cheryl is certainely not the one to blame for that.

I love this thread so much. Bertie literally makes my life complete.

It's quite sad you have nothing else to rely on to make your life complete, but nonetheless I'm happy to be the one to make your life worthwhile  ^_^

I love that Bertie just continues past well reasoned and argued counters like they don't exist  ^_^

Guys, give me a rest, PLEASE! I'm not asking for much, but stop constantly picking on me! I am not ignoring anyone's point of views and counters, and I do try to respond to it with a clear English and with some sense.

But everytime I post on Buzzjack, else than the Girls Aloud forum or the charts forum, Jamesp always makes nasty quotes or just randomly laugh at my posts for no reason as if I was a twat or had no brain. Silas is pretty much doing the same although at least he tries to make a point.

I make some efforts to be 'a part' of this forum but there're always the two or three same people trying to make it impossible. I don't want to be loved by everyone and I know it's not "cool" anymore to like Cheryl or such, but I'm not looning half as much as I used to, I usually try to make a point and I'm not just spamming the forum.

My point is that you've ignored all the posts that categorically state the reasons why she would have been fired, if she has, in favour of the more OTT HATAH posts which you can very easily counter.

I'm not trying to make you feel unwelcome, I'm trying to provoke a bit of proper debate by nudging you towards the more well reasoned and argued posts that a reply from someone like yourself would create some great debate and discussion based upon facts and more solid knowledge about the way American TV operates instead of just replying to people trying to wind you up that creates no debate and goes no where at all. It's not good for the forum as a whole or you. It removes proper debates, which are extremely health things as I've found through a good debate you understand the other side more and can learn quite a lot in the process, and it puts across a view that you can't respond to a well reasoned argument so you just bite the dangling bait instead.

Yes, but it's more like my opinion, when unpopular, is always branded biased and therefore invalid. Last example was when I was referencing to some reports about the auditions, stating Cheryl has had good reactions, I've been told those reports were obviously biased and that the only accurate reports were the negative ones. Which to me sounds just as "biased". Basically, everything bringing her down is accurate, everything good for her image is biased.

I do think that I try to debate and not just loon. Jamesp is fine with a "LOL" comment or a "oh your stupidity makes my life complete" kind of posts, while if I was daring to do the same I would see ten people up against me saying my posts are useless. That's what I'm talking about.

I think putting Jamesp onto your ignore list would be an idea, then you don't have to see his constant digs at you. I am sorry if I've come across as just digging at you in general rather than just through a debate over Cheryl/GA.

The media as a whole is remarkably bias and it's very difficult to find and unbiased soure in this day and age, so really you are right. Those reports are probably just as biased and those people who are countering you with 'No u Iz wrong!!!11!!111 Ur sourcez r bias az every1 else haz said shes sh!t!!!12212!!1' are the kind of people you've got to either ignore or just state categorically 'Well I have read reports from the following: [insert non-tabloid sources here] and they did say that she was received well. As they are reputable sources known for having little bias I am inclined to believe them rather than a report in the sun.'. I say non-tabloid as the tabloid newspapers are insanely biased, where as a paper like the Independent, Guardian or New York Times would add weight to your argument.

I know you do try to debate, but you seem to be debating with those who are effectively trolling and are just trying to get a response out of you.

You can be as wrong and bias as you want, but fill your argument with sources, well thought through points and logic, and I'll have a boat load of respect for you and your argument before I then proceed to tear it into tiny pieces through a thoroughly good and enjoyable debate.

I don't want you to feel like you opinion is wrong, because by definition it can't be, and I will admit you are at a disadvantage as Cheryl loons aren't perceived well on this forum at all, but by just ignoring those setting out to intentionally provoke you and those who are so Biased they'd make the Sun look like the pillar of journalistic integrity and engaging in a debate with someone who's not just out for a reaction then you'd find your reputation increase and people would start to respect you more for backing up your beliefs in a very well reasoned and well argued manner. It's a long road, but I have more respect for those that counter me properly rather than those who don't.

Karma is a bitch -

;)

She actually had a personality there. Sure, she was an absolute bitch (and probably still is) but media training has turned her into a boring lemon.

Poor Cheryl, it looks like she's 100% out of US X Factor.

I really don't think she should be coming back to UK X Factor though, because it will look as if she's only going along with the power (tried US X Factor and failed and hence come back to the UK X Factor as a secondary option...)

She should probably just concentrate on her third album and forget about The X Factor. If she truly wants to be one of the biggest female solo artists (which she clearly does) then she needs to step up her game and distance herself from shows like this. I can't imagine Rihanna or Katy Perry tying themselves down for six months every year for a reality TV show. Sure, she can go back and perform occasionally for promotion but whats the point when (currently) the music she's making is absolute shit.

AND she really needs a top notch vocal coach......

Plus she can't really always rely everything on these reality shows to make her famous. Most of the british artists who made it in the US made it for their music and not because they were a judge of something..

If she does intend to make a third studio album then frankly she'd really need to improve the quality. The sales for the second album were way down on the first and 'The Flood' kinda undeperformed, so interest was kinda dying anyway - on top of this, the entire basis of her solo career was based on the X-Factor, I cant help feeling she'd be a disaster without it.

Personally I think she should just wait for Nadine and Nicola to wrap up their solo projects and re-unite Girls Aloud. Oh and try and locate Sarah from whichever gutter she's been laying in since late-2009.

I totally think they should come back next year as a group!! It would be the perfect time :)

Part of me kinda hopes she comes back to the UK X Factor tho as i really dont want that skank from N-Dubz being on the panel :puke2:

I don't even know who's in the new line-up of X Factor apart from Louis Walsh definitely coming back... Tulisa is a rumour but not confirmed..

It's so bizarre that there's been no confirmation of this from anywhere. I can only assume from this that the FOX judges have sacked Cheryl and promoted Nicole without Simon's say-so and he's fighting to keep her. It's all rather frustrating - it'd be nice to know after all of the recent speculation.

As for what Cheryl should do next, I agree that X Factor helped make her the massive star she is today, but I honestly think if she now decided to stay away from the UK version and worked on some music (properly, with it having ALL of her focus) she could make something so good. She's our number one celeb - all she needs is some of the casual music listeners to pick up her album (which surely they would if it was of a good standard) and she's set for a 3rd successful album.

Well nearly a million people bought her first album, and it had only about 5/6 good songs on it  So id definitely say plenty of casual listeners bought that regardless of the quality....

Well maybe even more casual listeners then... :P
