Not sure, i heard there will be 3 promo singles, EoG, Marry the Night and a third (maybe Americano). There are 17 songs on the album, so i dont mind hearing a fair few before lol. Government Hooker sounds incredible ATM (from the remix)

 

3 was the same number of promo singles that Eminem and BEPs released too... Perhaps it's just an Interscope thing. :lol: They didn't do very well though. I think all the BEPs ones missed the top 75, whilst one of Em's got top 40 (but became a proper single with a music video months later on and re-entered), and the other two top 75. Ironically, one of the BEP's ones was Meet Me Halfway, which went on to be a massive hit 6 months later, after initially flopping drastically (which shows the importance of promoting a song really)!! :D

 

I'm sure other artists released promo single btw, just they're the only ones I really care about. :lol: Wiz Khalifa recently did in the US too. I think he also released 3 promo singles.

 

Well the album is out on 23rd May so unless they do more than one a week it'll only be 2 promo singles.

 

Hmm. Probably not then. I doubt they'd release more than one a week, unless they want her to become the new Glee Cast or something!! :lol:

I doubt we'll get EOG - we didn't get any of Taylor Swift/Katy Perry's promo singles when they did a countdown to the album promotion on US iTunes, nor did any other iTunes WW.

We did get both Eminem's and Black Eyed Peas' promo singles for 'Relapse' and 'The E.N.D.', but then again, we didn't get the promo singles for 'The Fame Monster' in 2009... :(

That top 10 had SO many massive hits in it!!! :o Empire State of Mind, Tik Tok, Fight For This Love. Not to mention Britney and Alexandra Burke. :heart: And of course, that must've been the Happy vs. Meet Me Halfway week. :lol:

Well, E.T. was released as a promo single last summer, and got to #11 on US iTunes (I think).

 

And now it's the best-selling song of 2011 in the US! :D So it is possible. I don't think E.T. could really be doing any better tbh, seeing as it's basically the Someone Like You of the US at the moment.

As you know though, the US and UK charts are quite different. I just think it could effect it in the long run here.

I honestly don't get all the buzzjack hate for Bruno. I can't help but think, if a female released these songs, they would be loved on this forum. Yes, JTWYA and Grenade have been a bit overplayed, but they are still good, and his album is fantastic.

Yes I completely agree. Bruno is one of the best male artists around atm. Fair play, JTWYA and 'Grenade' are indeed overplayed but so many other songs are and are still praised on this forum. So what if Bruno climbs back into the top 40, it's not like you have to listen to it.

I just find Just the Way You Are and Grenade really boring tbh. Just the Way You Are was one of the worst songs of 2010 for me. :(

Run was used last week and it only got into the 60s on iTunes and missed the official top 100.

There is the major difference in that Only Girl is one of my favourite songs of 2010, whilst Just the Way You Are is one of my least favourites. :kink:

 

I still listen to Only Girl most days. It's just not getting old for me. JTWYA, I couldn't bear to listen to even the first time I heard it. :( Vomit-worthy imo. :(
