I was lust looking at the genre classifications on the T1000 this morning, and it strikes me that whoever descides them must be deaf or simply a complete idiot.

e.g. Pitbull at #3 classified as 'Pop'?? They have a 'Hip-hop/Rap' classification, so why haven't they used it?

The classifications on iTunes are ridiculous and really should just be ignored tbh. I'm very open-minded with genres, but I've seen such stupid things on there before. Like some of Taio Cruz's songs are classified as rock. And I think S&M is classified as Soul.

And if you look, the songs with multiple entries in the chart, often each entry has a different genre. And with albums, you give the album a genre, not the individual songs, so all the songs on the album have to be classified as the same genre. This obviously provides difficulty for some albums now, which have songs from different genres within them (e.g. Nicole Scherzinger, Chris Brown, J-Lo, Rihanna).

I hate how LMFAO are 'pop' when they're obviously dance. I wouldn't call Pitbull's song 'hip/hop' as its more 'pop/dance'

Nice save for gaga :) tomorrow she will have 4 songs in the top 20 :) nice! And some thought she will flop... whatever.

Pitbull back up to #2 :D

Woo for GaGa, Judas back in the top 10 and nice reclimb for TEOG :cheer: I bet she'll end up pushing herself out of the top 10 again though with Hair today :drama:

I wish SHM would hurry up and climb :( Would be a bit of a disaster if it misses the top 40, although I doubt this week will be its peak anyway

Surprised to see Ell & Nikki, Eric Saade, A Friend In London, Lena, Kati Wolf and Zdob Şi Zdub haven't fallen (significantly) yet. Hopefully the former three can all join Blue and Jedward in the top 100 still.

'Judas' needs to climb to at least #8 before the release of 'Hair'. She can't miss out on at least a second week in the top 10.

It's annoying that Pitbull moves closer to #1 as I'm going off the song. I still love Ne-Yo's chorus but it's getting boring now. :(

I might buy TEOG now as I'm starting to really love the song. It's extremely powerful and epic (which is a word I deliberately don't use often to describe something).

Hopefully RT and CKB both get a secure position in the iTunes top 40 this week. RT going as high as #28 and CKB going as high as #23 probably.

WHAT? She didn't perform her best ever song?! BLASPHEMY :( 'Paparazzi' is bloody amazing. I honestly can't get enough of it. Deserved a higher peak than #3, but at least it went on to sell loads.

I want 'Edge of Glory' to go the same way. (But with the peak 'Paparazzi' deserved. (i.e. number 1 for 8000 weeks (or 2. Either way I'm easy)))

Ok is this the best time to tell you that 'Paparazzi' peaked at #4 - not #3? :smoke:

what's the 4th?

I predict we will see a new peak for Judas this week! It's still gaining on Chris Brown & Aloe!

Radio 1 has really helped her! Born This way has just had an amazing jump. This time last week she was at 34.

Surprised to see Ell & Nikki, Eric Saade, A Friend In London, Lena, Kati Wolf and Zdob Şi Zdub haven't fallen (significantly) yet. Hopefully the former three can all join Blue and Jedward in the top 100 still.

Given that everyone seems to say the iTunes chart is 48 hours, why would anything fall more than a little bit well within 48 hours of the majority of its sales?

Wow.. Gaga's taken a nice lead on 5th spot now, looks like she might get top 4 this week!

Looks like Gaga might have three songs in the top 10 this week and 4 in top 15. Very Wise Move for Gaga.

I think Born This Way will sell over 1million copies.

Expect Judas to climb to 7th in the next hour then overtake Chris Brown beautiful people.. Guetta's falling quite big atm he could end up around 8th by tommorow. Judas is gauranteed a new peak this week in official charts as she could climb as high as 5 on Itunes.

Because sales of others could be increasing to overtake them?

Omw Rihanna and Nicole now neck and neck. . Hopefully Nicole can overtake now and be the bigger hit. Even though she most likely will when the 50 Cent version is released and she does some promo. .
