Not sure what i think of madonna dueting with rihanna, its a little but jumping on the bandwagon type thing in my opinion a bit like she did when she worked with Timbaland. On saying i will hold back judgement until i hear the results.

I hope that's not true. I have nothing against Rihanna but I don't want a song for Madonna's with her in. She been on like on every ones song.

She hasn't actually worked with that many other female singers before. I'd look forward to this, I can imagine a new La Isla Bonita :wub:

Rihanna has been saying very nice things about Madonna lately! I have mixed feelings about this:

 

1. It looks like Madonna needs to have a current very popular artist on her record, ask yourself what would 4 minutes achieved especially in america without timberlake?

 

2. It will mean the younger generation will be introduced to Madonna alot more!!

The Madonna and Rihanna track sounds interesting. You don't tend to see too many pop singers collaborate anymore. The most recent was Rihanna feat. Britney I think, but even that was a remix.

Madonna to collaborate with Black Eyed Peas writer on new album Jean Baptiste to help William Orbit on singer's latest

 

Madonna has brought songwriter and producer Jean Baptiste Kouame into the studio to help with her latest album.

 

Jean Baptiste has worked for a host of artists as a co-writer including Black Eyed Peas and solo material for the pop band's members, Fergie and will.i.am.

 

As reported by Madonnnarama, Jean Baptiste has also helped co-produce many of William Orbit's records.

 

Orbit will once again act as producer on the pop singer's latest, after working with Madonna on the album 'Ray Of Light'.

 

As well as working with the Black Eyed Peas, Jean Baptiste has helped pen songs for Rihanna, Chris Brown, Cheryl Cole, Jennifer Lopez and Kelis.

 

Adding to the studio news, the fansite also put to bed rumours that William Orbit would be providing the soundtrack to Madonna's new film W.E.

 

Instead the score will be provided by Abel Korzeniowski, the Polish composer nominated for a Golden Globe for his work on A Single Man, starring Colin Firth.

 

Madonna's, as yet untitled, 12th studio album is expected to be released next year.

So I guess that will be about march / april time (kinda like the timeline ROL, AL & HC had).

She never denied that she was working with william orbit either.

Madonna said in another W.E. Interview that she will be spending the rest of the year recording her album in New York & London (apart from more W.E. Premieres and events).

Live Nation teams up with Universal Music

Concert promoter and ticket-seller Live Nation Entertainment Inc. said Monday it was partnering with recording company Universal Music Group to help create and sell concert ticket packages that bundle in merchandise for Universal artists. The partnership will also explore other marketing opportunities for musicians. (source: AP)

 

This means that most likely Madonna's new album will be distributed by Universal Music. This is because Live Nation is not a traditional record company and still depends on a partnership for the physical distribution. In what form the release and merchandising for the album will be done in 2012 will become clear in the next few months.
