Also, is anyone else watching Person Of Interest? I've watched the first 2 episodes and it's showing real promise, even if some of the action stuff is rather predictable.

Oh and Homeland is going from strength to strength, I love how they're sending us down one path only to find out it's completely wrong and we're back to the start again.

And as for Pan Am, it's settling in nicely too, it was good to see some Dean and Ted get a little more screen time and have their backstories fleshed out a little, especially Ted with the whole Navy thing. Also, Maggie is amazing, Christina plays it so well.

Christina Ricci's character is the one I'm finding it hardest to warm to in Pan Am. Colette and Laura are my favourites. Margot Robbie is RIDICULOUSLY HOT.

I find Collette a bit of a bore at the moment, maybe it's because of my hatred for the French. Margot Robbie is absolutely stunning though, the scenes with her in her UNDERGARMENTS, wow.
I'm watching Person of Interest aswell John. I'm up to date with US pace. It's slightly predictable at times, but I can't help but like it. It's got enough over-lying mythology to keep people watching each week, at the same time as being easy for new viewers to keep up with it. I'm waiting for the inevitable moment when one of the main character's number comes up though!
Just watched the pilot. Looks like a mix of Persons Unknown and Paradox.

This. Definitely my favourite new show of the season and I can't help but swoon over Morena Baccarin whenever she pops up. I can't wait for either the family or Brody to notice the cameras around the house.

Is there a "mythology" that kicks in then? I watched the first episode and thought it was well acted and well produced, but the episode's plot was so flimsy and the "crime" so easily solved that I haven't bothered watching any more.

I find with these sci-fi and fantasy shows that try and do the whole "monster-the-week" thing can get really tedious because there's always some made up bit of science and technology that can solve the problem. Fringe gets away with it most of the time because they've created a strong mythology that most of the individual episodes become part of, but there's often duff weeks (boy psychically attached to a fungus). The thing that keeps you watching is knowing there's an over arching story that has some sort of pay off.

Hmm, yes slighty. I think the pilot episode is the worst one tbh. The first one is only really like that to set up that police officer guy. I'd reccommend you keep watching, but I don't think there will be that big mythology pay-off. But the two lead characters both have big gaping holes in their stories about their past that are going to need to be answered.

I don't really care for the cases in Person of Interest each week, but I do keep going back so far, for both the mythology of the machine and Detective Carter. She's definitely my favourite character and I really like her part of the story, not as keen on the main two men though. Will keep going for now but it's a show that I could easily drop unless it becomes really gripping.
Finch's story is something I'm very interested in (perhaps it dealt with in eps 3+4), he seems to have a lot of secrets and they could be potentially very interesting. As for the first episode, it was a bit rubbish but then it was all about setting the scene and bringing the characters to where they needed to be for the show to move on and episode 2 was certainly a bit step up in that respect. Much more intersting story that was much less predictable.
I might check out the most recent episodes then. I'd quite like a new non-comedy to watch. My favourite new shows this year have been Suburgatory and New Girl. I tried Ringer but only got half way through the first episode... I've gone back to watching Buffy instead.
Ringer is truly awful, there's a good idea in there but it's done so cack-handedly any enjoyment is ruined.

I'm really enjoying Pan Am and Margot Robbie may be hot but MY GOD she's dull. Thankfully the episode time is shared fairly evenly between the four girls at the moment so I don't have to endure too much of her facial blankness. I must say though, while she occasionally looks like a bug-eyed wacko, Christina Ricci is BRINGING IT lately.

Now we're a month into the new season I can definitely proclaim Revenge my favourite new show.

Yesss!

f***ING PREACH IT!!!

Revenge is so good it makes me want to go out and get revenge. And it makes me want to get me my own Jack Porter too.

The cop is interesting, but she gets very very little screen time save for the end of the episode generally. I expect with the ending of the last episode she'll get more and more screen time though. If anyone's number's going to come up it will be her's. And the two lead actors are quite, well, I can't think of the way to descrive them really. Michael Emerson who plays Finch is seriously mindblowing, his performances are captivating. But I think he's an actor who you adore, or are a bit indifferent to really. The lead actor is a bit wooden and still only really comes to life in the action scenes imo.

I know it was talked about earlier, but is Homeland that good? It's something I am planning to watch, but I don't know whether I should start watching it as soon as I can, or keep putting it off for a little longer!

Once Upon A Time with Jennifer Morrison and Ginnifer Goodwin begins on ABC this Sunday. They kind of need this to be a hit since Pan Am is looking like it'll be a goner soon and Desperate Housewives is on its final season. They need SOMETHING to anchor Sunday nights with. I don't have a good feeling about it though.
