CW might as well renew Vampire Diaries right now. It's doing pretty fantastic work by their standards, 1.4 for a couple of weeks now when nothing else is getting higher than a 1.0. Secret Circle is squandering its lead-in though, they should swap it with 90210 (which also seems likely to be renewed, it's doing much better than Gossip Girl). Last night's full ratings:

5.1 The Big Bang Theory

3.6 Grey's Anatomy

3.6 Rules of Engagement

2.7 Person of Interest

2.5 The Mentalist

2.3 Private Practice

1.4 The Vampire Diaries

1.2 Charlie's Angels

0.9 The Secret Circle

I hope my original prediction of Once Upon A Time not being a hit turns out to be wrong. Just seen the pilot and I loved it. I wouldn't expect it to appeal to the same people that watched Lost, but I'm hoping that the connections (Lost references in the pilot, being from the same writers) does help it in the ratings, at least for the premiere.

The new shows I was looking forward to have disappointed (well, NG & Ringer but not AHS) and those I wasn't originally planning to watch (this & Revenge) have been wonderful.

A 0.9 for the CW is brilliant and I can't see 90210 getting anywhere near that out of The Vampire Diaries.
So Glad that The Vampire Diaries is doing so well. My favourite TV show ever. Every episode is fantastic.
Tessa's growing on me actually, she's a bit ott with the Suburb h8 - but then again I guess that's the premise of the show?
Just watched the pilot for Once Upon A Time, seems like it could be pretty good. It's quite a smart take on the whole fairytale thing and I love a lot of the cast (Emma, the Queen, Henry). I just hope it doesn't drag its heels too much with telling the story.
Also just watched the first episode of Grimm, which was surprisingly good. I wasn't expecting much, but it's pretty well executed and it's a nice twist on the often boring procedural format.
I think a few people's predictions about Once Upon A Time being a flop are going to be proved wrong! Quite a big hit for ABC. Think they'll be loving that since bar Revenge all their new dramas have not been anywhere near as successful as they thought! 12.79m and a 3.9.

Yeah that's a superb result. If it can settle at a 3.0 then they have the biggest new hit of the season.

I thought it was good, not great... Jennifer Morrison is superb and the kid isn't bad either. The Evil Queen was rubbish and I didn't think much of her as the Mayor of Storybrooke either. Prince Charming was about as charming as a puddle and significantly wetter. Sticking with it for now!

I loved 'Once Upon A Time' but I'm a sucker for anything like that. It sort of reminds me of 'The 10th Kingdom'. Has anyone seen that/get that vibe?

Just seen the cast list and they've got some pretty amazing people lined up. I can't wait to see Kristin Bauer in it, but her character may very well have me sh!tting myself!

ABC had a great night last night since all the other channels played basically wall to wall repeats...

4.4 Modern Family (repeat!)

3.5 Happy Endings (series high)

3.4 Suburgatory (series high)

3.1 The Middle (series high)

2.8 Revenge (biggest rating since the premiere)

Bloody hell.

The Modern Family repeat probably performed better than a lot of the first season. :/

Homeland is easily the best new show of the year and seems to be going from strength to strength. Every scene is alive with tension and the writing really is as good as AMC or HBO. Danes and Patankin are on fire right now and probably have even better material over the next few weeks.

Wow. Once Upon A Time only dropped a tenth to a 3.9 18-49 in its second week. Pretty much unheard of this season for a drama to hold up like that.
wow, Desperate housewifes is doing worse than I thought! of course is the 8th season, but I thought, being their last, people would be more interested
The quality has continued to slide so I'm not at all surprised people aren't interested, I'm very glad this is the end because it really is a pale immitation of former glories.

Once Upon A Time could be adjusted up like last week and hold 100%, seems everyone else enjoyed it too. I'm really LOVING it, the whole fairytale aspect with the mirror and the apples, the two different worlds, even small things like the name Henry.

I'm a couple behind on Desperate Housewives but the last two I saw were probably the worst two I can remember. Really hope it picks up so the final season isn't all round terrible.

Episode 4 and 5 of DH are by far the worst episodes of the show I have ever seen. Virtually nothing good I can say AT ALL.
