I get the feeling that as long as the ratings aren't completely disastrous for 'The Good Wife' then they'll keep it around for a while. They seem quite proud of it. Or maybe I'm just being optimistic.

THANK GOD The Good Wife has been renewed. I can see it being axed after this year though. At the end of Season 4 they'll have enough episodes for stripped syndication.

Time for the renewal/cancel thread already then! Doesn't time fly.

'Unforgettable' is dead. Even if it wasn't a damn awful show, a 2.0 on CBS is just asking to be canned. They set their standards FAR higher than the other 4 networks and always find themselves in the situation of having to cancel something even if everything is performing decently.

I'm interested to see what they do with their comedies then. Only 1 free spot so far providing TAAHM is back.

I don't think 'The Good Wife' is certain to be over after the next season. It depends on what they do with it, it's current numbers would be decent for a Friday if they did happen to move it, but then the numbers would probably go lower. Syndication prospects are the main factor for the fourth season but surely it's a good sign that CBS like the show/the critical praise it brings when they renew it two months before the upfronts?

'Unforgettable' is doing even worse recently than 'The Good Wife' does and it would need another three seasons before syndication comes into the equation, no way are they keeping that around.

Looking at last nights ratings, The River is now rating lower than Body Of Proof. Both are completely dead.

Ringer rated a 0.4 in an Original. ABC had an abysmal night and was beaten by Univision.

I Hate My Teenage Daughter and Breaking In are both dead on Fox (the later for the second time) and Raising Hope isn't exactly doing well as it hit a 1.8.

I know I'm totally alone on here regarding The River and Body Of Proof, but given some of the utter shit doing well I'd love to see both back, I'm fully aware both are more dead than Madonna's single career though :(
I've not given The River a chance. Don't really like watching mid-season stuff, as I know generally there is a large likelihood that it won't get past one season!

I really liked the first season of Body Of Proof, not seen season 2 yet, and would like to see it back but the ratings are shit. :(

Awake held at 1.6 this week so I'd say it's currently looking like a good shot for renewal... but it can't really afford to drop below 1.5. Missing on ABC drew 2.0 for the premiere. A repeat of Touch on Fox scored 2.2 - I wasn't aware it had started airing! And Community came back from its hiatus with a very healthy 2.2 on NBC.

That's an OK start for Missing, I was expecting less. It's pretty good actually, although that is not down to Ashley Judd in any way, but a relatively compelling sory. I hope it can hold around those numbers, but I imagine we'll see it fall to 1.6 or so next week. It's one of those shows I can see being skewed towards older viewers sadly.

I'm going to give Missing a go but it isn't good that it opened slightly lower than Charlie's Angels [though I guess it's pretty fair for a spring debut].

Did Community fans all join forces to watch live last night, returning to a season high? Very good news for the show and even 30 Rock got a season high too.

Pretty good for a repeat airing of Touch, wondering if any of them were new viewers. Hoping for around a 3.5 next week maybe, with it's proper start. It'll need to drop very low not to get renewed given the state of FOX dramas right now.

I'm already losing patience with Awake. These generic procedural subplots are really not for me at all. The pilot was much more intelligent than that... I actually cringed throughout the opening scene in the third episode. The music is also massively overpowering in every single scene. I'll keep watching for now but I hope they get it back on track. Maybe they think making it a bland procedural is the only way people will watch.

Sorry but the case was very bland indeed... there was no twist that you couldn't see coming a mile off. Firstly just Rex being taken is procedural drama 101 - the cop's kid is always kidnapped so that's lazy storytelling as far as I'm concerned. Then this convicted killer tells Michael it was one of his colleagues who set him up and Michael immediately realises who it was (was he never suspicious at the time?). He goes into this guy's house and he doesn't even check for a wire. Why would he believe Michael wanted a cut of the money? He's so obviously not a bent cop. It wasn't exciting or dramatic, it was deathly dull, and if that's not bad enough you have that bloody music signposting every single narrative event! If I wanted that crap I'd watch Criminal Minds.

Its a shame Ringer's ratings are extremely poor :(. I mean IMO the storyline is brilliant (& SMG :kink:), apart from a few not-really-necessary moments.

Maybe its because its up against New Girl and NCIS. They should've put it on an earlier time slot, that might've given it a shot at a few more additional viewers. I'm not exactly familiar with the whole ratings stuff so forgive me if I didn't make any sense

I need a new show to watch, what would you guys recommend?

I'd like a show along the veins of Ringer :P and the whole Mystery,Crime,Drama,Thriller genre :)

I doubt it.

Will you should watch Revenge. The plot is kind of similar to Ringer (both set in the Hamptons) but it's a million times more interesting/better storytelling/better acting/better looking. Everything about it is better and amazing.

I have just started to love Cougar Town. If only it were on NBC :heehee:
